Online! | Re: Revival meeting Times square live mike signorelli | | A great takeaway with this gathering is there are people who are sick and tired of "normal" church going and know it will take much more to reach this generation and the hunger of their own hearts.
Many people are tired of going into churches were everyone looks very proper and they act different but on the weekdays they act like the world.
In this gathering there was a release also for the body of Christ to be active in evangelism, discipleship, baptism and essentially all elements of the church "outside" normal church settings. This is radical call for a movement of believers to be living how Jesus wants 24/7.
In the first message there was a call for the glory of God in our lives (which is revival). We are to host God's glory in our lives, by the Holy Spirit.
Revival is Jesus and being closer to Him. God is working in new and different ways let us know judge or think that this is not where a great revival can bring forth.
In a decadent America God is raising up "nobodies" to reach the vilest and worst. The foolish to shame the wise.
Let us not miss out on anything the Lord is doing.

| Re: | | "A best selling author of multiple books and a globally recognized prophet, Jeremiah has ministered in 42 states and 25 foreign nations."
Nobodies...
No one is safe in this age. I find it interesting that men like Johnson can say the exact same things as actual "nobodies", and mean almost the exact opposite.
Can someone find me where apologizing for categorically false prophecy, and than continuing to call yourself a prophet, is scriptural in the least?
Can we see Jeremiah, Isaiah, Amos, delivering false prophecies, apologizing, and still being taken seriously in that office and not being judged in some form, as well as likely bringing judgment on those that follow them?
While so many herald this stuff as end times ministry, I would have to agree, but I think we may have mistaken what type of end time ministry these actually are.
But, it's good that we have a scheduled time for the revival, hopefully the Holy Spirit can clear His calendar for their plans.

| Re: | | To be honest, I watched part of that and was totally disturbed, had to shut it off. Maybe the rest was better. I would never assume I know how God will move...... his thoughts and ways are not mine. I will gladly submit to anything that the Spirit speaks or reveals into my life. I just find it so interesting that after having walked with and experienced the power, love and holiness of the Lord in my own life and worship experience that I would be disturbed spiritually at the core by something that two other brothers find encouraging and God led. It confuses me. Gary, I'm not a fundamentalist in the sense that you use the word. I move in very prophetic circles and have been a part of wondrous outpourings of God. What I saw and heard struck my spirit as false. Not because it didn't fit a preferred pattern, but rather because I had the opposite witness of the Spirit to me. I don't offer that as a guide for anyone else but I can say that others have often testified to my discerning of the spirits so I'm not a novice at this.` I could be wrong, but not a novice. What i witnessed is similar to the prophetic update originally posted only adding an emotional hype or energy that young Christians are so prone to jump into without hesitation. And just for the record, I'm less convinced by arguments for "next generation" moves of God and prophetic utterances about that when the NT always speaks in terms of the here and now and last days being the days the readers are living in and are called to focus on.
BTW, one of my favorite passages is the story of David bringing the ark back into Israel where Uzzah was killed for not treating the Lord as holy AND Michal was rendered barren for despising David's unbridled and "foolish" joy in the Lord. Book end commentaries on the posture of men when in the presence of God. I embrace the holiness and joy inexpressible combination totally, so please no lectures. _________________ Robert

| Re: | | Robert,
Wow dear brother, Amen. It is nice to hear from the throne, and not from flesh every now and then.

“Can’t you see what is happening here?”~~ George Bailey, “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
I would have preferred reverential silence and the glory of the Lord filling Times Square like a cloud such that no one could stand in the area.
I can’t help but think what Tozer would think of such a spectacle. Not much, I can assure you of that. _________________ Todd

| Re: | | Brother Greg,
Is this what Sermon Index exists to promote?
Is this what the men God has used throughout history on this site existed to promote?
You have so much more influence than you realize dear brother, please see that.
"For there shall arise false Christs (anointed ones), and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." -Jesus
Brother Greg you said, "This is radical call for a movement of believers to be living how Jesus wants 24/7."
I remember when you didn't believe that was a radical call, but simply being a Christian, simply our reasonable service, simply the least we could do for the Savior who did and does everything for us...
The Lord hid me away for almost a decade so I was out of touch, but of all the brothers I knew, you were the last I would have thought to be swept up in this. Would that the Father hide me away again, in that decade a whole army of false religion and false prophets rose up and took over... even deceiving those that know better...
EDIT: I can't help but think, as this is is happening, Jewish people around the world are living in fear as antisemitism reaches historic levels and the current conflict could possibly be the beginning of world wide persecution; Christians are being killed and persecuted around the world; judgment hangs over practically every nation in the world; and this is what the USA and it's religion is doing...
This smacks of the ancient false prophets saying "peace, peace" where there is no peace. This is a horrific bastardization of the word revival. It's a distraction from everything God wants us to be focused on. As judgment looms over the world, this guy is saying, "take out your phones and text revival to this number". Have to get those follower counts and numbers up, have to make sure there is some tangible proof people attended so we can get the next venue secured... Oh and make sure to buy tickets for my movie.
This is what our generation of young people think revival is... And we have an entire horde of false prophets (I don't think it's an accident all of these men say they are prophetic or prophets, I think it's to serve the purpose of judgment, we were warned and told EXACTLY what would happen) to lead them as deep into it as possible, and make sure no one is seeing what is really going on in the world, or at least ignoring it and believing nothing is wrong because revival is sweeping the world, not selfishness, soulishness, selfish spiritualism, and complete ignorance to the true prophetic events happening.
The spirit of the world is cunning saints, this is tragedy.
This to me, if I didn't know God myself, would prove the truth of scripture beyond doubt. Jesus said, "I have told you beforehand". Perhaps the real revival will be when people finally realize this is apostasy, and that Jesus in His mercy warned us, to the letter, what to expect and the masses ignored Him.

I cannot walk past this statement:- “God is raising up nobodies" this is what God has been saying to me for years, from the first moment I heard his voice this is what he has been saying. If you listen to Jean Darnell vision of 1967 describing the Move of God that’s coming to the UK, you’ll hear her say “army of witnesses”. She then goes on to say “Thousands and thousands of people are going to come into My Kingdom through this army of witnesses, through this people movement.”
“People movement”
But he said other things that night.
The group of prophets from Bethel came to Elisha and asked him, “Did you know that the LORD is going to take your master away from you today?” 2 Kings 2:3
These groups of prophets knew God was going to take away Elijah, likewise today there are many who know that God is going to raise up a people, an army of nobodies, but what will we do?
Fifty men from the group of prophets also went and watched from a distance as Elijah and Elisha stopped beside the Jordan River. 2 Kings 3:7
As I have said they knew God was going to take Elijah but weren’t willing to pay the price, to cross the Jordan, they stood and watched from the wrong side of the River. They weren't willing to pay the price in there own personal live.
Simply put - They were on the wrong side of the River.
Here is what I am sick of - look at the description of this event - Revival Breaking Out In Times Square - LIVE
Here is a description of revival when God presence truly turns up in a meeting…
They seem plunged into the depths of Godly sorrow… For some weeks, it was the sound of weeping and the sound of mourning that was heard at meetings. The house was often so full of divine presence that ungodly men trembled with terror-stricken and at the close, they sometimes fled from some impending peril.
When will we stop being content with superficiality and carnality, when will we pay the price in our own personal lives to get to the place where God wants us to be where God’s presence is truly going to be? _________________ Colin Murray

| Re: | | Quote from a description of a revival meeting from Johnathen Edwards
“Our public assemblies were then beautiful,” as Edwards later recalled.
“The congregation was alive in God’s service, everyone earnestly intent on the public worship.
; the assembly, in general, were, from time to time, in tears while the Word was preached; some weeping with sorrow and distress,
others with joy and love, others with pity and concern for the souls of their neighbors.
Anyone who does an honest study of revival from the Book of Acts to the great awakenings will see God doesn't act by his spirit according to our personal preferences or biases ...
Come on Col you should know better than to box God in to that one experience you described { beautiful as it was } |
