@Nigel, The hope was to get rid of SOF/denominations together with their original warranting occassions. And not to get rid of them and leave the gaps thus unfilled. But is this the route God is ready to back us through? It sadly does not seem so for reasons.Yes while these SOF may not thus seem help make the Christian walk easier, the current state of Christedom (such as modern threats) seems to warrant the need thereof. While some doctrinal diffences are forgivable, some are very material and demands that we be vocal about. Yes we may end up shutting each other out while trying to be thus vocal but it seems there is currently no better (God-backed) way around.I recently had to submit an application for Chrstian business startup funding and there was a SOF radio button to click on the application form page. Fortunately, it was brief and seem to essentially align with my doscrinal position. Had it had not, I unfortunately would have had to disregard the entire funding chance - lest I go against conscience. I have for some time now also felt the need to keep a SOF on the website I operate (likeChrist.co.za).
