TEXT: GENESIS 3:15
''And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel'' KJV “And I will put enmity (open hostility) Between you and the woman, And between your seed (offspring) and her Seed; He shall [fatally] bruise your head, And you shall [only] bruise His heel.” AMP
A blow on the head is fatal and mortal; when the head is wounded or cut off, life licks out and death is usually the entail in this respect. Divine decree directs our blows towards the enemy's head, to note that the power to give mortal blows to Satan, lies with the saints! Divine decree notes also that Satan would only bruise the saints' heel. A wound or blow on the leg, is not mortal; it may only affect motion of the victims. Here is the truth, Our adversary can only bruise our heel, and nothing more! In bruising the saints' heel, he may cripple them: many saints have been crippled by him; these have been rendered motionless, unable to walk! But see the divine order of God's decree in our text above: '...it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel' As if the Lord, by this order, had said, 'If you do not want the enemy to cripple you, you have a chance to bruise him on the head; hence in so bruising him, make sure you render him incapable of bruising your heel. Give him deadly blow that would make him run into a nursing home for a very long time!' Christians, in the order of things, we are to bruise Satan's head first, before he bruises our heel, so in bruising his serpentine head, let us take care to give him a mortal blow, that would unnerved him for a come back. Brothers, any chance presented to us to bruise Satan and sin in the head, we should see to it that it is a deadly sort. A weak blow on sin, will have it return for the bruising of your heel subsequently. A demon cast out, when returning, returns not alone but with seven more of his kind, that are stronger and more wicked than him: so also sin, if not given deadly blows, would come stronger than before.
