In the same way that Evangelicals have confused evangelism for revival, Pentecostals have confused the ministry of miracles for revival. So many are pursuing either large crowds or signs and wonders instead of Him. They have unintentionally mistaken the fruit of revival for the root of revival!

This is why the 2nd generation of both Evangelicals and Pentecostal /charismatics often seek revival on a very different path than their spiritual forefathers. This is why we will never evangelize or power encounter our way back into the next great awakening. This is why we must humble ourselves and relearn how to pray and worship our way back into the fullness of His presence! “
