 HIS KINGDOM

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, crying out, Repent (change your mind for the better, heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Every preacher commissioned by God to proclaim salvation to a lost world, begins his work with preaching the doctrine of repentance. This was the case with all the prophets, John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, all the apostles, and all their genuine successors in the Christian service. If there is an exception to this in the Bible, I cannot find it.
Why is that? Because they hear from the FATHER and HIS message has been that of REPENTANCE since the fall. They stand in HIS presence and hear HIS words, and HE tells them to proclaim, TURN FROM YOUR EVIL WAYS AND EVIL DOINGS.
If this is not the message of the preacher you listen too, how can he/she be called and commissioned by YEHOVAH? I promise you, this is the message of the HOLY SPIRIT that leads and guides into all TRUTH.
John the Baptist preached it. YESHUA preached it. This is the message of the GOSPEL. Why don't preachers preach it? I'll tell you why. Because it is not PROFITABLE to preach this message. And why is that? Few people will pay a man to hear him preach repentance. Those who do listen to the message of repentance, are called by YEHOVAH to listen to this message, just as is the preacher who preaches it. All others are religious counterfeits. Their passions of the flesh are their gods.
The kingdom of YEHOVAH is not afar off. It is close enough to touch with the hand, no matter where you are on the face of the earth. It is not within a building made by hands, but within the heart of the repentant. It is a kingdom of love, kindness, charity, and forgiveness in YESHUA HA'MACHIACH (JESUS CHRIST). HE came to REDEEM the hopeless on GOD's terms, not man's. HE lives within the redeemed. HIS presence in the heart of a new creation life, cannot be masked. Those who take HIS name in vain (without repentance) must have a mask, in order to try and hide the reality that they may be religious, but HIS kingdom is not within them.
Ever notice how sometimes you meet someone and you just like them? You just feel better when they are close at hand. They don't have to say anything or do anything, goodness overflows from within. The light shines from the inside out, not the outside in. They are true tabernacles. True temples of the MOST HIGH. Glory!
Why is this called a kingdom? Because it has its laws, all the moral precepts of the Gospel. Its subjects, all who believe in CHRIST JESUS as their king, the Sovereign of heaven and earth. YESHUA never saved a soul which HE does not govern. Nor is this CHRIST precious or estimable to any man who does not feel a spirit of subjection to the Divine will, that only comes from Divine inspiration and empowerment.
But why is it called the kingdom of Heaven? Because GOD designed that HIS kingdom of grace here should mirror the kingdom of glory above. And hence our LORD teaches us to pray, THY will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
The kingdom of heaven is not meat and drink, says Paul, Rom 14:17, does not consist in the gratification of sensual passions, or worldly ambition, but is righteousness, heart peace, and joy, in the HOLY SPIRIT. Now what can there be more than this in glory? Righteousness, without mixture of sin; peace, without strife or contention, and joy, in the HOLY SPIRIT, spiritual joy, without mixture of misery! And all this is possible, by the grace of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, to enjoy here below. How then does heaven itself differ from this? It makes the righteousness eternal, the peace eternal, and the joy eternal. This is the heaven of heavens! The phrase, kingdom of heaven, is frequently used by the rabbinical writers, and always means, the purity of the Divine worship, and the blessedness which a righteous man feels when immersed in it.
This kingdom is at hand.
So when John the Baptist and our LORD began to preach this, an era of the glorious Gospel was now about to be fully opened, and the Jews were to have the first offers of salvation. This kingdom is also at hand to us, for wherever CHRIST crucified is preached, there is salvation to be found. YESHUA is proclaimed to thee, O man! as infinitely able and willing to save. Believe in HIS name, cast thy soul upon HIS atonement, and enter into rest! No more religion. All is celebration. And new life begins within, in HIS kingdom, and governed by HIS presence and not by the lusts of our wretched flesh.
Is this the "kingdom at hand" that you know? Or has your religiosity been a total fabrication of an image of a god that serves man, rather than the other way around?
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected?
Today is a rest from religion. A day to contemplate the reality of your life experience. A parallel to TRUTH requires evidence. Is it evident that HE lives within you? Do you tabernacle HIS presence? Or is your soul within inflamed with it's own passions, will, and purpose? Selah - Lahry Sibley
