 WHAT YOU KNOW, sometimes differs.......

1 Thes 4:1 Furthermore, brethren, we beg and admonish you in [virtue of our union with] the Lord Jesus, that [you follow the instructions which] you learned from us about how you ought to walk so as to please and gratify God, as indeed you are doing, [and] that you do so even more and more abundantly [attaining yet greater perfection in living this life].

Attaining what? Greater perfection day by day? Isn't that what it says? Is that the focus of each day HE gives you? Is this who you really are?

2 For you know what charges and precepts we gave you on the authority and by the inspiration of] the Lord Jesus.

The inspiration of the LORD JESUS. Yes, beloved, HE still chooses to inspire our thoughts, so much so that what we speak and how we live astounds even our own self. Is this DIVINE resource alive in your life?

3 For this is the will of God, that you should be consecrated (separated and set apart for pure and holy living): that you should abstain and shrink from all sexual vice,

Been searching for "the will of YEHOVAH for your life? Here is revelation for you. Every true Christian led by the HOLY SPIRIT will live SET APART for PURE and HOLY LIVING. SANCTIFIED! How complicated is that? It is only when we are tempted to compromise this pure protocol in HOLINESS, that things get blurred and out of focus. Complicated. The area of our flesh where we are most tempted to deposit our purity in the mire of iniquity, is sex. Across the board. The urge to be sexually active is second only to breathing. Sex apart from your spouse, is SIN! Temptation is NOT SIN. But when you hang on to the temptation, linger where you have no business thinking about, Sin is birthed, and brings forth DEATH. It quenches your affections that should be focused on YEHOVAH, your spouse and family, yet they are not. You are playing the infidel, both with YEHOVAH, and your FAMILY.

4 That each one of you should know how to possess (control, manage) his own body in consecration (purity, separated from things profane) and honor,

YOU KNOW HOW TO LIVE HOLY. It's not the "know how", but the decision(s) you make. Not when you're about to climb in bed with other than your spouse. Oh no! Its when you lingered too long with that thought, that temptation. The battle was lost right there, and you allowed your flesh to sit in control of your actions, and you traded your good desire to live HOLY, for infidelity. SIN! And down you go, face first in the mire. 😢

5 Not [to be used] in the passion of lust like the heathen, who are ignorant of the true God and have no knowledge of His will,

But you have knowledge of HIS will, if you are reading this. You know! Don't you. It's not that you don't know, but that you won't lay down this lust that you have made a god of, after your own image. YIKES! REPENT! STOP YOUR SINNING THIS WAY. It is destroying your witness, your faithfulness, and YOU. Only you can make the good healthy holy choice. to walk away from any and all areas of your life, that you KNOW are impure.

6 That no man transgress and overreach his brother and defraud him in this matter or defraud his brother in business. For the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we have already warned you solemnly and told you plainly.
Throughout all of Paul's letters to the churchs of Asia Minor, He speaks PLAINLY, to those who are LED by the HOLY SPIRIT. They are the ones who can DISCERN HIS revelation. Can you? It's not the KJV english that is your problem. The problem is that you love the things you lust after, and the Bible identifies these as sin, and you don't like to be reminded of such. So you don't read it. YOU WON'T read it. And your slide down hill goes on and on, and on. All the while you think you are fooling everyone, including YEHOVAH. The only one you're fooling is yourself. Judgment day is going to be a messy affair until the moment you realize that you are without excuse. Then what will you do? Well, what you will do will has already been decided for. You WILL be cast into eternal torment. The End.

7 For God has not called us to impurity but to consecration [to dedicate ourselves to the most thorough purity].
HE HAS CALLED US TO BE SANCTIFIED!!!! What is it in vs 7 here, that is so hard to understand. It's not that you can't choose to live HOLY. Oh no, it's that you CHOOSE NOT TOO, in the face of YEHOVAH and other HOLY PEOPLE who surround you. HE knows. They KNOW. And they weep for you.....
