A friend of mine told me that His pastor was arrested due to a particular allegation and was released on bail due to further investigation The pastor professes innocence ..should he step down until the matter is cleared or continue on in the ministry ?.. appreciate feedback ..blessings
brother,If the church has multiple teaching elders, definetly there should be a pause and for them to pray on what to do. In churches where the pastor has 100% complete rule there is no helps or checks and that can be the opening up for troubles and failings to come.

//The pastor professes innocence//This should be given zero weight. It is hard to assess without knowing the charge but he should step aside until investigation is complete.

Brother Greg, Your statement if full of truth. I was wondering if you did not mind elaborating on this some more? What are your thoughts on churches where pastors have 100% control? I understand that they are known as apostolic churches. Do you reccomond churches to have elders? Your feedback is appreciated. Blessings- Fred
