Hi Robert,

I am not sure if this post will be a digression from what you have in mind.

Anyway, you said:

I rarely hear people praying for repentance because we have profaned His Name......just we weep for the profaning of His name by His bride where His Glory is comparatively all that is desired and sought.

The church is a house for God’s Name and to His Name only we give glory (2 Sam. 7:12-13, Matt. 16:18, Eph. 2:20-22, Ps. 115:1).

The foxes have dens, and the birds have nests. Does the Lord Jesus still have the church as His dwelling place?

Do we love the Lord, our strength, our rock and fortress and deliverer, our rock in whom we take refuge, our shield and horn of our salvation, our stronghold (Ps. 18:1-2)?

Or do we honour the Lord with our lips but our hearts are far from Him?

Have we exalted correct doctrine and good works and not realised that the Lord Jesus, the Light of Life, is no longer loved and exalted and is no longer in our midst (Rev. 2:2-5)?

Have we boasted in chariots and in horses and are bowed down and fallen when we should have boasted in THE NAME OF THE LORD and have risen and stood upright (Ps. 20:7-8)?

Are we having a form of godliness but denying its power?

Have we become like those over whom the Lord Jesus has never ruled, like those who are not called by HIS NAME (Isa. 63:19)?

Isa. 2:7-8 –
Their land has also been filled with silver and gold
And there is no end to their treasures;
Their land has also been filled with horses
And there is no end to their chariots.
Their land has also been filled with idols;
They worship the work of their hands,
That which their fingers have made.

To me, the most urgent goal of revival is to bring the Name of the Lord back into His house, to bring the Lord and King back to His house.

2 Sam. 19:11-12 –
Speak to the elders of Judah, saying, ‘Why are you the last to bring the king back to his house……? Why then should you be the last to bring back the king?’

Ps. 80:18-19 –
Revive us, and we will call upon YOUR NAME.
O LORD God of hosts, restore us;
Cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved.

Isa. 12:2-4 –
Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
For the LORD GOD is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation.
Therefore you will joyously draw water
From the springs of salvation.
And in that day you will say,
"Give thanks to the LORD, CALL ON HIS NAME.
Make known His deeds among the peoples;
Make them remember that HIS NAME is exalted."
Praise the LORD in song, for He has done excellent things;
Let this be known throughout the earth.
Cry aloud and shout for joy, O inhabitant of Zion,
For great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.

Ps. 44:5-8 –
Through You we will push back our adversaries;
Through YOUR NAME we will trample down those who rise up against us.
For I will not trust in my bow,
Nor will my sword save me.
But You have saved us from our adversaries,
And You have put to shame those who hate us.
In God we have boasted all day long,
And we will give thanks to YOUR NAME forever. Selah

Ps. 89:15-18 –
Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!
LORD, they walk in the light of Your face.
In YOUR NAME they rejoice all the day,
And by Your righteousness they are exalted.
For You are the glory of their strength,
And by Your favor our horn is exalted.
For our shield belongs to the LORD,
And our king to the Holy One of Israel.

Ps. 72:19 –
And blessed be HIS GLORIOUS NAME forever;
And may the whole earth be filled with His glory.
Amen, and Amen.

Ps. 116:12-13 –
What shall I render to the LORD
For all His benefits toward me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation,
And call upon THE NAME OF THE LORD.

Hi Jade, Not a digression at all. God's Name shall be hallowed in all the earth and if not in His people, then in whom? God's Name, God's glory, the knowledge of Jesus who is the I Am, shall fill the whole earth. But, most importantly, it must fill the whole church in likeness, character, word, and deed. A passion for His Name to be Hallowed in the church and not to be profaned in Her is what fuels spiritual maturity, mission and compels contrition, humility and tears when it is not as it should be, as He is worthy of. If only people professing His Name lived for the hallowing of His Name as their greatest desire and most sought after reward. Some do for sure, many, as you say, pay lip service to it.

The sermon posted now by brother Greg called "Time of Preparation" shared by George Warnock as the featured sermon is so on point for today's people of God. It is so full of truth, prophetic help and unction for the church and for individual revelation. It actually speaks in part to some of the themes expressed in this thread. Really timely!!

(Deleted unneeded information)

The whole sermon spoke to me. Thank you Greg! I’m in agreement with everything brother Robert said concerning this sermon.

This is a time of preparation for us as Christ followers for certain!

I have stumbled upon this video. I think it is a good description of one of the things that frustrate revival.

It is a good Word. Thank you for posting it passerby. This is why we need the whole body of Christ. To help each of us stay in check, and help each other grow into the image of Christ through the Spirit of God.

Goes well with the sermon. I long for the day we have the whole body of Christ together with all the gifts working in harmony for God’s glory alone. It’s a beautiful picture I desire to see with my own eyes one day.
