 Re:

The winners in the peace deal are Trump, Israel, and UAE. The loosers are Iran and Hezbalah.

 Re:

These events are signifigant in our day. This is all symbolic of the work of antichrist that will come:

Daniel 8:25 - "And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand."

 Re:

Thanks Greg.

In many parts of the church though, some of the early church's eschatological foundations laid by the prophets, Jesus and the apostles are missing. Many teach Israel has become irrelevant in God's prophetic plan and there will be no personal antichrist etc., it's supposed to just be allegory etc. The biblical eschatological context is in need of restoring in many quarters of the church.

There is no “personal antichrist” mentioned in scripture— anywhere.

 Re:

In regard to Daniel 8, the personage spoke of is Antiochus Epiphanes. In reference to v. 25 (By his cunning he shall make deceit prosper under his hand, and in his own mind he shall become great. Without warning he shall destroy many. And he shall even rise up against the Prince of princes, and he shall be broken—but by no human hand):
——————

“The ruin that he shall be brought to at last: He shall be broken without hand, that is, without the hand of man. He shall not be slain in war, nor shall he be assassinated, as tyrants commonly were, but he shall fall into the hand of the living God and die by an immediate stroke of his vengeance. He, hearing that the Jews had cast the image of Jupiter Olympius out of the temple, where he had placed it, was so enraged at the Jews that he vowed he would make Jerusalem a common burial-place, and determined to march thither immediately; but no sooner had he spoken these proud words than he was struck with an incurable plague in his bowels; worms bred so fast in his body that whole flakes of flesh sometimes dropped from him; his torments were violent, and the stench of his disease such that none could endure to come near him. He continued in this misery very long. At first he persisted in his menaces against the Jews; but at length, despairing of his recovery, he called his friends together, and acknowledged all those miseries to have fallen upon him for the injuries he had done to the Jews and his profaning the temple at Jerusalem. Then he wrote courteous letters to the Jews, and vowed that if he recovered he would let them have the free exercise of their religion. But, finding his disease grow upon him, when he could no longer endure his own smell, he said, It is meet to submit to God, and for man who is mortal not to set himself in competition with God, and so died miserably in a strange land, on the mountains of Pacata near Babylon: so Ussher’s Annals, A.M. 3840, about 160 years before the birth of Christ.“ ~ Matthew Henry’s Commentary

 Re:

"And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone." Revelation 19:19,20

So, Todd, according to your interpretation, Jesus is casting an allegory into a fictional place?

 Re:

Not necessarily allegory but not necessarily literal either.

If you ask 100 Christians who or what the antichrist is you’ll likely get 80 different answers.

Why is that?

 Re:

If he is not to be a personall Antichrist, then, almost of necessity, it would have to make the Israel he directs his wrath against a non personal non literal Israel also.

Are personal pronouns used in abundance in the Bible supposed to designate non literal entities and people?

36 And the king shall do according to HIS will; and HE shall exalt HIMSELF, and magnify HIMSELF above every god (quoted directly by Paul in II Thessalonians 2:4), and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

37 Neither shall HE regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for HE shall magnify HIMSELF above all.

38 But in HIS estate shall HE honour the God of forces: and a god whom HIS fathers knew not shall HE honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones,
and pleasant things.

39 Thus shall HE do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom HE shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and HE shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at HIM: and the king of the north shall come against HIM like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and HE shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

41 HE shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of HIS hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

42 HE shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

43 But HE shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at HIS steps.

44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble HIM: therefore HE shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

45 And HE shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet HE shall come to his end, and none shall help HIM.

II Thessalonians 2

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that MAN of sin be revealed, the SON of perdition;

4  Who opposeth and exalteth HIMSELF above all that is called God or that is worshiped (Paul quoting directly from Daniel 11:36); so that HE as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing HIMSELF that HE is God.

5  Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6  And now ye know what withholdeth that HE might be revealed in HIS time.

7  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8  And then shall that Wicked (WICKED ONE, HIM) be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9  Even HIM, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonder

 Re:

Maybe because they are interpreting scripture incorrectly?

"But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief." 1 Thessalonians 5:4

If someone can't see the crystal clear signs of the times, should I conclude they are in darkness?

 Rather listen to Jesus

The sad thing about the video ( and posts by Drifter & Docs) is that it is more peddling of a distorted eschatology built on very hard to interpret scriptures. Please leave Daniel, Ezekiel, Revelation and Zechariah for a while and start with what our Lord taught us.
He taught us that He will resurrect us on the last day, not 7 or 3 and a half years earlier.
John 6:40. For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day."
He taught that immediately after that (not a thousand years later), will be the judgement.
Matthew 13: 36 Then Jesus dismissed the crowds and went into the house. His disciples came to Him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”

37He replied, “The One who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38The field is the world, and the good seed represents the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, 39and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

40As the weeds are collected and burned in the fire, so will it be at the end of the age. 41The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will weed out of His kingdom every cause of sin and all who practice lawlessness. 42And they will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.

He who has ears, let him hear.

So in short, there is this evil age that will end on THE LAST DAY, and then the age to come, which is ETERNITY.

Luke 18:29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God 30will fail to receive many times more in this age—and in the age to come, eternal life.”
Luke 20: 34 Jesus answered, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35But those who are considered worthy to share in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage. 36In fact, they can no longer die, because they are like the angels. And since they are sons of the resurrection, they are sons of God.

Blessings
