Phi 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!
5 Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near [He is coming soon].
6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
REJOICE - to take great delight in.
It's not an "option". It's a COMMANDMENT. But how many are there, among those who "say" they are "Christians", take great delight in YEHOVAH? How many possess that kind of intimate relationship with HIM, that is pure delight, delight that cannot be hidden? How many would rather be with HIM, nothing hidden, than with anyone else they know?
Would you consider this person "odd"? Unusual? Out of step with the rest of humanity? I would certainly hope so. For this rejoicing person is immersed in our blessed MESSIAH and the FATHER, through the HOLY SPIRIT. Odd to the "world" (and most of what is called "christianity"), but quite normal as a true born again believer. Please think about that. Delight in HIM alone..... and no other. Is that who you are? How many others do you know that are like that?
