| Re: | | Hey brother -
Satan has millions going to hell who are completely deceived. The law wakes them up, so he doesn't want you preaching it. You are being tested.
Do you want to to please the men, or go with the Guy who was raised from the dead? I'm going with the Guy who was raised from the dead.
I will warn you - when I started using the law, I got completely ostracized by a ton of people - for a while, I was all alone. But, after I stood faithful, the Lord brought many amazing brothers in my life who are a true blessing, and go out preachign wtih me, instead of trying to discourage me without ever looking into their own Bibles.

| Re: | | mm mm mmm... great testimony. You expressed a lot of grace and burdon for the youth that my post didn't. Not that I don't have any for them, I certainly do. Especially since my two oldest will be considered "youth" in a couple of years. If you combine your post with mine, I think we have something here.

| Re: | | By the way - my old church wouldn't even let me teach a class to people who volunteered to come. I left.
Right now, I'm in an undisclosed 3rd world country, and I've been able to teach these truths to several Bible school students, teachers, and many pastors.
I'm glad I didn't let myself quit when nobody back home wanted to listen - Praise God!

| Re: | | If these people criticizing your message believe that Jesus is the Word made flesh, and I hope it is obvious to them that the Law is part of the Word, then it appears that they do not want all of Jesus. Only the comfortable parts. The Word still says that the "law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ". (bring us to Christ = evangelisim in my mind...) (Galatians 3:24). I believe that in part, it is this type of thinking that has caused the the church to allow God's Law to be evicted from our schools, court houses and society at large.

Online! | Re: | | All the negative comments you are probably getting is spiritual warfare to try and get you down. I would simply press on. You WILL have to warn people and even ban them if you are going to have the site run somewhat smoothly. Do not refrain from sharing the truth even if people disagree. _________________ SI Moderator - Greg Gordon

| Re: | | God bless, brother! My heart goes out to you and so do my prayers. I know the feeling of getting rejected by your own friends, it's tough, but there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother: His name is Jesus and He is the ONLY person you need to please!
Don't worry, you're just stirring up stagnant water... this is all expected.

| not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord | | Hi Coop,
What I am going to say now might not bare any relevance to your situation. We all have to start somewhere. Preaching the Law? Preaching Christ and him crucified?
'And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they believe not on me; of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.' [John 16:8-11]
Sadly so much preaching is completely dependant upon gimmicks, we are to preaching with the power that the Holy Spirit gives.
'And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:' [1 Corinthians 2:4]
Being in full time ministry for some years now, I have many times gone up to minister after spending very little time alone with Jesus, and quite frankly it was a flop.
I have read Keith Green's article on what is wrong with the Gospel where he refers to the preaching of the law, and listened to Dave Wilkersons sermons on the same topic.
I have visited your site and intend to come on board. Remember that in this honourable task we have of declaring the majesty of GOD, to the world we will need more than stategies and words, we need to rely on the power of the Holy Spirit, and there are no shortcuts, to quality time alone with Jesus, warming your heart beside his love.
'And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.' [Luke 10:39]
Paul the apostle, much like Apollos, were strong preachers, but both learned 'a more excellent way' may I be so bold to assert that this was:
'For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.' [1 Corinthians 2:2]
Sometimes when we experience opposition, is it because our message has become to fleshly.
And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him. [Acts 28:30-31]
Though presenting the law might be a strategy used by some, and it certainly will draw opposition, I am not so sure Paul would have agreed with this style:
And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offense of the cross ceased. [Galatians 5:11]
I have listened too many testimonies by Jehovah's Witnesses who lived as Gentiles under the oppressive doctrine of laws, it produced only fear in them. I suggest you rethink your theologoy, and consider the wisdom of the Apostle Paul.
'But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.' [Galatians 6:14]
In Jesus, Aeryck :-P
In Acts 5 and 6. You will read of Stephen, a man 'full of the Holy Ghost'...you can also read the sermon he preached...it contains all of the elements one might wish to copy to make the perfect sermon ... relying on the fullness of the Holy Spirit is relying on God not on sermon outlines, I hope that I have not been to harsh it is not in my heart to stand as a judge, merely to arouse your heart to a 'more excellent way.' _________________ Eric John Sawyer
