 Encouraging Scriptures.

I’ve noticed that a lot of threads/post on SI today have really brought out the “discouragers” but SI doesn’t have a patent on these “discouragers” they’re everywhere. I don’t understand why anyone would want to hand pick discouraging things to start threads on, especially at this time in the world. My Bible says “A joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit dries up the bones”.

In my world, encouraging words, bring joy, and The Lord said a joyful heart is a good medicine, how many today or any day need a good medicine? I know I do. Personally, I just avoid all the downtrodden threads, or threads that don’t inspire. I know many here have probably heard me say this before, and I personally believe it’s the truth “You Have Never Really Been Beat Up, Until You Have Been Beat Up By A Christian”.

Some may not see their threads/posts as beating anyone up, that’s because you’re posting your own opinion. I respect everyone’s opinion, but I don’t have to be a doormat to their opinions. In a time when this whole world needs to be lifted up and encouraged, some just can’t get away from their pessimism or doomsday threads/posts. Personally @68 I want to retain a Joyful heart, since it’s is a good medicine. May these encouraging scriptures below, help you in your daily travels through life.


1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

Romans 14:19
So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.

Hebrews 3:13
But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called "Today," so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

Jude 1:20
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

Ephesians 4:12
for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;

Ephesians 4:29
Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

Hebrews 10:19-23

James 1:2-4
