I have already spoke to a few people privately on this matter that is unacceptable to edit messages and delete the entire text. You can add an

EDIT: with text


That would be the only plausible situation to edit other then small spellling mistakes etc.. If you are speaking so quickly and rashly to have to edit your message then that could be an adomination to slow down and prayerfully post.

1. Write slowly and think through what you are writing.
2. You may edit only to fix spelling mistakes or short phrases.
3. You may edit only to add excerpts or even corrections but it may be done only by adding text and signifying it by putting an "EDIT:then the text".
4. You may not go back and delete large amounts of text especially whole posts.

EDIT: It should be stated also that the moderators of SermonIndex can delete posts, threads, and edit messages at their discretion, this rarely happens but if it does the author will be informed of the action taken and reason why.
