Saints,I wanted to share this great initiative that was started by Steven Lee the founder of Sermonaudio.com this year! He is calling believers to focused prayer for revival for the entire year. It is a wonderful burden he has you can watch a video of him sharing his heart and there also also a way for you to sign your name publically to commit to pray. I encourage many believers on SermonIndex to get involved: https://www.sermonaudio.com/unitedprayer.aspSynopsis.This resolution is based on An Humble Attempt, originally put forward by Jonathan Edwards in 1748. Its design is to encourage God's people in the duty of united extraordinary prayer; setting aside some time every Saturday, privately or publicly, to pray for the revival of His church and the advancement of Christ's kingdom in our homes, in our churches, in our nation, and in the world.Motivation.We are in a war. We are living in a world sinking under a growing tidal wave of evil. The darkness seems to be getting darker. The winter seems to be getting colder. The family is under relentless attack. Not only are we witnessing the homes in our local churches being ripped apart, but socially, the very definition of family, marriage, and now even what constitutes a male and female, the fabric and building blocks of humanity, are all disintegrating. No human weapon can deal with the problem of sin. The only power that can deal with this tidal wave of hell on earth is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.“We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12read more here: https://www.sermonaudio.com/unitedprayer.asp

You can buy the short book for this resolution of prayer here at sermonaudio:The Case for United Prayerhttps://store.sermonaudio.com/products/the-case-for-united-prayerdescription:The Case for Uniited PrayerEdwards | Prime | CrossThis book seeks to make the case that what we need in our day is united prayer. It reminds us that the warfare we are engaged in has been fought in every generation and that “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” (2 Corinthians 10:4).Presented within these pages are excerpts from the works of Jonathan Edwards, Samuel Prime, and Richard Cross. These men, from three different centuries, had the same burden given the needs of their day, the burden that God’s people would be united in prayer.Remembering God’s marvelous works in the past enlarges our faith in the place of prayer and gives us bright hope for the future. The purpose of this book is to inspire and invigorate God’s people to take up the same mantle in our own generation and to “give ourselves continually to prayer” (Acts 6:4).May God bless this humble attempt.
It is a great burden he has.But I think there is a bit of a confusion what biblical revival is, just trying to clarify.Reviving means coming back to lifeBiblical revival means a fresh outpouring of God’s live-giving Spirit on his people. It is for believers and churches who have been backsliding. (from John Piper)Unbelievers need to repent first and someone has to go and tell them. Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you..." So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them… (from the book of Jonah)The men of Nineveh will stand at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, (Matth 12v41)
Amen brother.
