2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2Ti 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. 2Ti 2:17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 2Ti 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. Most will say "amen" to vs 15 above, even though, truth be known, that they seldom if ever study for themselves. They know not of the SURE FOUNDATION OF TRUTH that the kingdom of the MOST HIGH rests upon. They have become indifferent to the profane as well as the vain. And "ungodliness abounds more and more", in WHAT IS COMMONLY CALLED CHURCH!And the words of these false preachers eat at the spirit and heart of man as doth a canker. And the people love it so. Concerning TRUTH in our midst ERROR abounds. Preachers crying PEACE, PEACE (within) where there is no peace. Everyone knows it, but none will stand up and ask WHERE IS THIS PEACE (of mind and heart)?Never the less, in spite of all this religious hoopla that makes merchandise of men, TRUTH, the very foundation of HAYAH, standeth SURE. Now there is a "seal" that CERTIFIES the authenticity of those who belong to CHRIST. OBEDIENCE! Even so, the Apostle ads this to his instruction sure......"Let everyone that nameth the name of CHRIST, DEPART FROM INIQUITY."So my question is this. Do you attempt to call yourself a "christian"? And then of course we must ask the obvious. HAVE YOU DEPARTED FROM INIQUITY?What does it mean to be a worker of iniquity? The final part of the verse is a reference to Psalm 6:8. It is also rooted in Jewish legal traditions. "Depart from me" is a phrase of renunciation to be used against those who have been expelled from the community. ... The phrase translated as "you who work iniquity," literally means "you who break the law." DISOBEDIENT! CHURCH PEOPLE!REPENT! or else you will likewise PERISH!!! Selah
