| ALIENS | | what do u people think of aliens. Me for example, i believe they are real. The reason i do is because i saw a ufo. It had about 7 glowing small triangles the size of birds.. these glowing triangles would each bounce around in different directions and each of them would rotate left and right but, for example one would rotate left then right real quick another would rotate right then left and another would rotate more than others but they would all be doing this while bouncing around at the same time in differnt directions. I know it wasnt any kind of craft we have had and more and more people are believing in aliens every year unlike ghost and such. There is good proof and like i said i did see a ufo with my family. please tell me what u all think about aliens and how u feel it goes along with god and the bible. _________________ jesse

| Re: ALIENS | | for a good view of the alien/UFO phenomenon from a Biblical perspective I would recommend 'Alien Intrusion' by Gary Bates, info on it can be found here

| Re: ALIENS | | Luckyd,
It's so strange that you should ask this question...I just finished watching a DVD copy of "Close Encounters" mere seconds ago!
As I was watching the final meeting between humans and the wirey aliens I thought to myself..."This is so demonic." The reason I felt that (discerned that?) is because of the implied evolutionary denial of our faith that these ideas contain. Our "modern" culture has rejected the God of the bible, yet we were created for worship...and so we create stories about other worldly entities that are vastly more evolved then we are and who have come to mentor us into our next stage of evolution.
It's difficult to say what it was you actaully witnessed that night with your family. Personally I feel that UFO's such as what you witnessed can be classified under a variety of explanations..ranging from simple misidentifaction, to pathological embellishment, to downright supernatural exhibitions.
That there are millions of planets in our universe is not an argument for extra-terrestial evolved life...in fact it's an argument against it. We are finding more and more planets beyond our own system, and so far have't found a single sign of even mocrobial life...Life doesn't just assemble itself from amino acids and gases. Life is a deliberate sanctioned creative act of God.
I also feel that alien intrigue is connected to an anti-christ new age gospel of spiritual evolution. An aquaintance recently asked me to watch a popular movie called What The Bleep Do We Know? It's a mystical concoction of science (in the guise of quantum physics) and spirituality...describing how mankind is on the verge of a revolutionary breakthrough where we will be able to effect the material world by our very thoughts and words. (new age WOF) In this strange movie/documentary, a woman who was interviewed appeared to me to be possesed, which is not something I say lightly. In the credits I later read that she was indeed channeling an alien intelligence named "Ramtha." I could literally detect this entity speaking through her in the video.
This "alien" was a boastful critter, whose main message was that the Christian God was a primitve backward myth that was holding back mankind. According to this "documentary" Christianity is the worst mistake human civilization has ever made...and the sooner we reject it's notions of "repentance" and "worship" the sooner we can resume our evolution.
UFO fascination is a breeding ground for blatent anti-christ philosophies and a denial of the reality of man's fallen condition before his Creator.

MC I think you are right in all your conclusions on this topic. _________________ Ron Bailey

| Re: | | Larry Norman had a great song called UFO...
and if there's life on other planets then i'm sure that He must know and He's been there once already and has died to save their souls
I think that sums up what our concern about this topic ought to be... short and simple. The gospel according to Larry. I love it.

| Re: | | I agree with you, Compton, and have held this view for quite some time.
Dear luckyd, be careful about this issue, I would suggest not pursuing further to gain more information. The Bible teaches us to be innocent of evil, and I believe that's exactly what these things are.

| Re: | | We're given some really strong warnings in scripture about dabbling in occult activities. If demons can disguise themselves as angels of light... why wouldnt they disguise themselves as UFO's? UFO's and aliens has become a whole religion unto itself. This is called "deception", and it's what Satan does best. People try and seek after knowledge from what they perceive to be more advanced life forms, etc. It's not just "is there more out there" ... it's "what can we learn from them". Anyone ever stop to think that if there is life on other planets, perhaps they are even more stupid than we are??
The Bible does not address this issue at all. Therefore I have to believe one of two things... a) it isnt in the Bible because there arent other life forms on other planets, or b) God doesnt consider it important enough for us to waste our time worrying about.
The only high life form we should concern ourselves with is God. Period.

| Re: | | God created the universe. Only he knows if there are other life forms on other planets. The bible does not mention them, so I don't spend much time wondering if "intelligent life" is out there.
Here is a question for you: "If an alien lands on this planet and can understand and speak English, should we witness to him/her/it?" lol |
