| Re: Today, I'm praising God for... | | ... Jesus, who died ... and rose again!
We sing the praise of Him Who died, Of Him Who died upon the cross; The sinners hope let men deride, For this we count the world but loss.
Inscribed upon the cross we see In shining letters, God is Love; He bears our sins upon the tree; He brings us mercy from above.
The cross! it takes our guilt away; It holds the fainting spirit up; It cheers with hope the gloomy day, And sweetens every bitter cup.
It makes the coward spirit brave, And nerves the feeble arm for fight; It takes the terror from the grave, And gilds the bed of death with light.
The balm of life, the cure of woe, The measure and the pledge of love, The sinners refuge here below, The angels theme in Heavn above.
To Christ, Who won for sinners grace By bitter grief and anguish sore, Be praise from all the ransomed race Forever and forevermore.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for... | | ... being the Fountainhead of bliss - for worship in spirit and truth, for gentleness and peace.
Jesus, Thou Joy of loving hearts, Thou Fount of life, Thou Light of men, From the best bliss that earth imparts, We turn unfilled to Thee again.
Thy truth unchanged hath ever stood; Thou savest those that on Thee call; To them that seek Thee Thou art good, To them that find Thee all in all.
We taste Thee, O Thou living Bread, And long to feast upon Thee still; We drink of Thee, the Fountainhead, And thirst our souls from Thee to fill.
Our restless spirits yearn for Thee, Where'er our changeful lot is cast; Glad when Thy gracious smile we see, Blessed when our faith can hold Thee fast.
O Jesus, ever with us stay, Make all our moments calm and bright; Chase the dark night of sin away, Shed over the world Thy holy light.

He's the one starting the religious conversations at work. It's a great blessing to be asked to share the good news. :-D _________________ Jon Doe

WOW Dorcas, WHY hadn't I seen or "gotten to" this thread earlier ?
Being new here, there's SO MUCH to look at. Even going back to the pages since past, trying to feed myself till my eyes bulge out (or bleed-Ha !).
BUT, I'm glad I found this thread just now.
What an amazing blessing here.
Thank you so much Dorcas, for starting this beautiful thing to do.
I'm praising God for you all and for Greg's burden and for the rain (as someone has said :) and for the beauty of Holiness I sense on threads like this, and for HIS graciousness and mercy on me, to lead me here, to be refreshed and grow and have fellowship and learn more of what His Love is through fellowshipping with y'all.
OH ETC. !
Thank you Dorcas and All other SI posters, and Greg, Mike and Hulsey, for helping me/us grow and behave
"Happy Sunday." |

What a wonderful redemption, Never can a mortal know How my sin though red like crimson, Can be whiter than the snow.
All that thrills my soul is Jesus, He is more than life to me, And the fairest of ten thousand In my blessed Lord, I see. |
