Willingness to Suffer Makes Us Unmovable and Enduring by K.P. Yohannan

Hebrews 12:2 tells us that, “For the joy set before him, [Jesus] endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Jesus was able to bring us life because He was willing to suffer.

Willingness to suffer makes us unmovable and enduring. We must understand that this is the only way to show the love of God to the nations.

We will never be able to do it with money.
We won’t be able to do it with big buildings or a popular name.
We will only show them His love with committed people who are willing to lay down their lives, their one intention being to finish the ministry the Lord gave them.

Allowing Inconvenience
None of us will do a single thing for the kingdom unless we have the mind to accept inconvenience.

I am not urging you to give up your salary, sell your house, walk around naked or have no car.
I am not telling you that because you are serving the Lord, you and your family must suffer in these ways.
I am telling you the reality that, as a soldier for Christ, you must be willing to pay whatever cost is required. We must continually choose the inconveniences that come in our lives for the sake of Christ and this world that He cares about.

If we do not, we will not make it to the finish line. There’s no way around it.

May the Lord give us the grace to embrace suffering just as Jesus did. I pray that you would open your heart and allow the Lord to show you the areas in which you may be looking for an easier road. I pray that we would repent before the Lord. Of all the words I know, the word repent is the most precious and means more to me than the words grace or love.

If you humble yourself and repent, saying, “Lord, my heart is cold. I am going after the things of the world. I am more concerned with my health and my comfort and my wife and kids than You and Your people. Lord, I am more concerned about my comfort and future than all the hurting and needy people in the world. Please forgive me, Lord. Would you change my heart?”—I tell you, something amazing will happen inside of you.

His anointing, grace and peace will enter your life, drawing you closer and closer to His side and changing your heart to be one that is willing to give whatever He asks because of your love for Him.
