 Nathan Confronts David

"It seems that in today's culture there is a heightened sensitivity to incidents of injustice. However, this rightful concern about abuse and injustice is typically limited to human interactions. The concern is directed toward human abuse by other humans, not human abuse of divine blessing. What about our abuse of God's law? What about our misappropriation of His blessings to be spent on our own pleasures? What about sin against a holy God?" ~from our Bible study book last Sunday.

 Re: Nathan Confronts David

Hi Todd: Stick in the mud here. I don't see us as being sensitive to injustices...I see us as being manipulated by the media to be sensitive to whatever the media has deemed an injustice. Meaning, our culture is not sensitive to injustice at all its sensitive to any loss of personal pleasure, personal gain, personal pride, personal endeavor.

When a video of a baby crying is shown its not about the baby its about how to manipulate that image to garner favor for a political idea. If you see a black or Hispanic being mal-treated its not about race its about a political agenda that is using race to effect its own cause.

Our heightened sensitivity is a touchiness about our own personal proclivities...if someone is mistreated it's racially motivated, if someone is hurt it's a fascist agenda, if someone is neglected it's a rich oppressor, if someone is persecuted its their own fault for being 'odd'.

We live in a world of disinformation, everything is spun to advantage some political viewpoint or to denigrate another political viewpoint.

Confronting David over Uriah, 2Sam 12:9 Why have you despised the word of the Lord by doing evil in His sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword, have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the sons of Ammon.

This is strictly a God-perspective, the media would spin this as a 'persecution of Hittites' or a 'moral failure of a political figure that should not be in office' or another oppressive male exploiting the female.

God is completely left out because they do not know him nor care for what he thinks.

I think we are in complete agreement.
