Ok... I am not Making This Up!!!

Panicked' London train commuters force open doors, flee onto tracks when man reads the Bible aloud

London commuters wrenched open the doors of a packed rush-hour train Monday morning, forcing the train to stop and the power to the tracks to be cut. Witnesses described the scene as "panicked" and a "commotion."

The reason: a fellow passenger was reading the Bible aloud.

"I specifically heard him say things about homosexuality and sex before marriage being sins and how we had to repent for our sins, the lord gave his son for our sins, et cetera," one passenger told the Richmond & Twickenham Times. "I sort of zoned out a little after that as I had no interest in listening to him."

Others weren't able to zone out. They "started to panic and push."

Some commuters "became scared when the man also began saying 'Death is not the end,'" a rider told the BBC

Trains on the route from the southwest London suburb of Shepperton to the city center were delayed for hours. No one was injured in what the police described as a "self-evacuation."

Fleeing wasn't the only option for commuters who didn't want to hear about their sins. A passenger finally asked the Bible-reading man to be quiet because he was scaring people, and "the guy stopped and stood there with his head down."

Surveys show that Great Britain is one of the most secular countries in the world. The "avowedly non-religious," The Guardian newspaper reported earlier this year, now make up half of Britain's population.

So why would people be panicked over somebody reading the Bible?

 Re:

They would panic because it is the Bible.

If he were to read something else, horror, sci-fi etc, it won't hurt.

But the word of God will.

 the sins began to tremble!

"He caused such panic that some people have forced open the doors and jumped on the tracks."

Imagine people jumped on the tracks hearing the man preached...

The Bible verses were so powerful, the sins began to tremble!

Re: the sins began to tremble!

Alvin Schmidt writes in "Under the Influence - How Christianity Transformed Civilization" how the early church was not only persecuted because they refused to worship the emperor but ALSO because they held to a high level of morality. To suggest we may see a repeat of this mindset would have sounded absurd a mere 20 years ago but today it is fathomable.

 Re:

Just a note here. A friend of mine in GB says that her son who rides the
to work on the rails, as does everyone basically, said that most people are very nervous and jumpy at any abnormal behavior, suspecting a terror attack from any direction. So it made me reassess this story a bit.

One must be moving sensitively in the Holy Spirit in a nation that has lost its Christian bearings and is living in fear.

 Re:

Dear sisterwe are living in an age that is ruled by fear. We as believers must realize that God has not given us over to a spirit of fear. But of power and love and a sound mind.

May God grant that we stay sensitive to His Spirit and follow His leading in these end times. For I sense in my spirit it is going to get much worse in the days ahead. But we must cultivate that deep abiding relationship in Jesus to endure what certainly will be ever increasing darkness and the days ahead.

Simply my thoughts.

Sister,

This is true. Fundamentalism of any type including believing dogmatically in the Scriptures against sins of homosexuality etc are looked up as terrorism of sorts.

People are led to believe that we (simple bible believing christians) can do the evils that islamic state jihadists are capable of. The denominizing of true believers is something very old, the romans did this many times blaming believers on setting fire to their cities and other national calamities.
