| Smith Wigglesworth On the Power of the Word of God | | “Fill your head and your heart with the Scriptures. Memorize passages from the Word, with the name of the book, the chapter, and the verse, so that you can quote the Scripture correctly in addresses or in open-air meetings. As you do this, you are sowing in your heart seeds, which the Spirit of God can germinate. He can bring to your remembrance from time to time that which you have once memorized. You must be so soaked with the Word of God, you must be filled with it, that you yourself are a living epistle, known and read of all men. Believers are strong only as the Word of God abides in them. The Word of God is spirit and life to those who receive it in simple faith, and it is a verifier of all who own its sway. Know your Book, live it, believe it, and obey it. Hide God’s word in your heart. It will save your soul, quicken your body, illumine your mind. The Word of God is full and final, infallible, reliable, and up-to-date, and our attitude towards it must be one of unquestioned obedience. If a thing is in the Bible, it is so; it is not even to be prayed about; it is to be received and acted upon. Inactivity of faith is a robber, which steals blessing. Increase comes by action, by using what we have and what we know. Your life must be one of going from faith to faith.”

Amen! This is coming from a man that did not even read the newspaper. The bible was the only book that he read.
"Over Smith's ministry it was confirmed that 14 people were raised from the dead. Thousands were saved and healed and he impacted whole continents for Christ. Smith died on March 12, 1947 at the funeral of his dear friend Wilf Richardson. His ministry was based on four principles " First, read the Word of God. Second, consume the Word of God until it consumes you. Third believe the Word of God. Fourth, act on the Word." - From "Healing and Revival" website. _________________ Mike

Only those truly baptized in the Holy Spirit can truly appreciate the depth of scripture. Only those baptized in the Holy Spirit will really hunger for The Living Word Himself. Only those truly baptized in the Holy Spirit will see His Words his spirit and life. For those who are baptized in the Holy Spirit will see that it is His spirit that gives life.
Smith Wigglesworth was evidently such a man who was baptized in the Holy Spirit. And because he was baptized in the Holy Spirit he was able to wield the sword of the Spirit.
May God grant that we be such people. May God grant that we be people who will surrender to the baptism of the Holy Spiri. And in so doing appreciate and apprehend more more The Living Word Himself.

If we follow His life after JESUS He had a life of FAITH.
David slew Goliath because of five stones.. FAITH..
Thanks for posting.. May we all move in faith and have obedient hearts.. Sister Frannie
