[img]https://www.sermonindex.net/images/forum/2004/may/featured_news.gif[/img]VATICAN CITY--Speaking to a crowd of tens of thousands, Pope Benedict XVI urged Roman Catholics to attend Sunday mass regularly, underlining that it should be seen as a joy rather than a burden."Without Sunday, we Christians cannot live," said the newly-elected pontiff during his Sunday Angelus before a packed Saint Peter's Square."Sunday Mass must be felt by a Christian as a need and a joy, not as an obligation or a burden," the pope said.The German-born pope urged parents to show their children the importance of going to church, and stressed the role of the first communion in the life of Roman Catholics.
