What Brother Washer needs more than anything is for any damage that occurred to his heart muscle to be healed. He likely suffered a blockage in his veins or arteries at some specific point in his heart and this in turn deprived the heart muscle at that point of needed blood which carries life giving oxygen. Basic 101 I know, but the attack occurs when sections of the heart muscle are cut off by the blockage from receiving necessary blood and oxygen. That part of the muscle that is deprived is actually starving and suffocating without blood and air. Sometimes a blockage can be severe and burst and that is more severe than catching a blockage as it is beginning to occur. I don't know if they caught Brother Washer's in time and opened the blockage with a stent or if they had to go in and repair arteries or veins that had burst. Either way, he needs rest and has likely been ordered to not pick up anything over five pounds or not pick up anything at all especially with his left arm. He needs to just chill for a while as his heart muscle begins to heal and regain its health and vitality. This type of healing is the best way to pray for him and of course pray for his spiritual well being and outlook. I had one of these heart attacks and they caught it as it was going on before any serious breakages on the inside had occurred. They placed a stent in my heart and it worked fortunately. My heart recovered with no lasting damage. He won't be the same I'm sure. I never have been. I'm almost convinced that teaching in the church on heart health would be a large benefit. It's the number one killer of men and women in the United States and ususally comes from many years of bad habits and wrong eating. Sometines it's hereditary but masny times it isn't. Know the signs.
