What Sermon On SermonIndex Has Moved You The Most & Why? Go

I'll post two with the links. Not sure if this site will allow the links. If not, just search for the titles if you want to hear the sermons.

The Anointing of God: Jim Cymbala
This sermon speaks directly to ministers and their need to be anointed of God and carry His heart to the pulpit. As a minister, this sermon has caused me to draw nearer to the Lord many times.

Reality In The Christian Life: Zac Poonen
This sermon deals powerfully with possessing what we confess. Sometimes we preach and teach things because they are true, but they are not a reality in our life. Poonen challenges us to get alone with God until it is real in our on life.

Re: What Sermon On SermonIndex Has Moved You The Most & Why? Go

There were a few that really changed my life.
I can remember hearing A Call to Anguish by David Wilkerson, and it was just amazing to me that God spoke to me so clearly through it.

Another was also one by Zac Poonen- I think it was called Two Streams, or Two Trees... But there was a scripture in one of these sermons that Zac Poonen quoted that I had never heard before and it changed me... It was 1 John 2:6 "he one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked."

When God is speaking a word to us personally, whatever sermon we will hear it through becomes great to us- that's why it's so important to speak the WORD!

I'm so thankful for all the good sermons and teachings posted on this site. I can't even express how valuable they have been to me.

Awsome! Yes, I had forgotten about A Call To Anguish. I know a pastor friend who said that sermon literally changed his ministry. Thanks for sharing.

There are so, so, many...anything by T. Austin-Sparks has been a huge blessing. Spurgeon. Tozer. Paris Reidhead.

Here is one I used as a study for my kids (with follow-up questions):
Evidence of Eternal Life Series by Paris Reidhead. https://www.sermonindex.net/modules/myvideo/photo.php?lid=3040

Also, "Blessedness of the Unoffended" by T. Austin Sparks.
(I'm listening to it now)

I believe I have posted more about this sermon than any other and given out CD's of this. I love to read biographies and this is a 27 min biography of what God did in one man's life when he prayed for revival. He's not a preacher, this is normal man that sought God and God answered.

George Middlebrook – Revival Forum 89 – (27 minutes)

God bless,
Lisa

PS: Forrest, I posted a response to you in the sin thread. My bad! Sorry.

Beware Of Dogs by David Wilkerson

Audio - https://www.sermonindex.net/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?lid=3569&commentView=itemComments

Transcript - https://www.sermonindex.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=55997&forum=34

This is an excellent teaching that all believers who have tried their hardest to please God but continually fall back into sin need to get a hold of.

In my opinion this sermon is 100 times better than Ten Shekels and a Shirt by Paris Reidhead.

This is a life changing message that needs be heard more than once.

Holy Desperation by Michael Brown immediately comes to mind.
