Hello everyone,A favourite tune of mine, which I'd like to share, has recently been posted on the internet for the first time, in a book of hymn tunes by CL Parker, called Sweet Harmonies. Originally, it appeared in the Redemption Hymnal. It is called, 'How Firm a Foundation' and goes with the hymn of the same name, which is about trusting the word of the Lord Himself, through deep waters and hellish shakings. When you get to the page, find link to the hymn in the list, then click on the score to call up Media Player (not sure what else) and it will play through once. May you be blessed! :-) http://www.clparker.com/SH/shHome.html
C L Parker was principal of the UK AoG Bible College but was 'demoted' to head of OT studies due to a doctrinal conflict. He was always spoken of very highly by the students. He followed Finney'a line on 'hereditary sin' that is to say he denied it, but it was his embracing of 'universalism' which caused the AoG authorities to remove him from his position of prime influence in the bible college.

That's interesting. I didn't look into CL Parker's history. Thank you.Certainly this tune has blessed me immensely, as it gives that sense of victory-in-spite-of-everything which I believe we are meant to pick up from the verses in Isaiah 43, on which the words by George Keith are based.1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called by thy name; thou art mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. 4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. {life: or, person} 5 Fear not: for I am with thee:
