The Lord is always drawing His people closer, ever since the start. Of course in times of trouble we become more aware of it.

But it will remain merely a call until they make the decision to turn their backs on sin and decide to trust Him to keep their hearts pure. Mostly, they don't believe it is possible and continue to offend Him.

All those wasted years will be a source of heartache one day.
