Blaine: Praise God brother that you have given up the alcohol. An act of obedience to God in that area...you will definitely see blessing from that. As you grow in Him, and I know you know this, you will see God progressively dealing with your heart and beckoning you to draw closer to Him. His goal is your obedience. Your obedience allows God to trust you with greater anointing and allows you to bear more fruit for His glory. Remember, you ultimate goal in life is to know Him. You are part of His kingdom, and He wants you to be a partaker of His divine nature. Whether or not seeing the movie is a sin is entirely the wrong question in my opinion. The right question is, "God, what would You have me do?" The right question is, "Will this further enhance my walk with God and cause me to increase in righteousness, or will this be detrimental in some way to my walk with God?"

Brothers appreciate your posts and thoughts. I do believe I will ser the movie. Here is why.1. It is a Chriatian documemtary made by Crossway Filns, part of Lifeway Ministey of the Southern Baptist Church.2. The movie concerns a Christian brother, Nik Ripkin, who has served in Samalia, a reatricted natiom.3. Nik Ripken is documenting the story of the persecuted church.4. God has led me to pray for the persecuted church both individually and through my conference call Persecution Watch. Thus I'm sure I will pick up much useful information in how to pray for our persecuted brethren from this movie.5. And perhaps the most important thing is that the Holy Spirit is leading me to go to the movie. The Spirit bears witness that this movie will help me and the ministry that God has called me to.Brethren at this point I can say I feel the release to go and see this movie and I believe it will help me be more effective in my prayers to the persecuted. But it is also good to hear from someone who has served on the front lines. Their stories always provide much encouragement to keep our prayers up for those that serve and persecution Nations. And for our persecuted brethren.Again thank you for your insightful posts.
