Tozsu said, "However I could (if I wanted to) write a song that starts like this:Ones upon a time there were some men who would rather watch the sports game and go to pubs than show up in church.......and I could derive similar demise effect on the church with the same accuracy."After reading this, and thinking about the "demise effect on the church", I was inspired to write yet another poem. This one is as equally true and accurate as the first. I hope no man may be offended by it. Here it is:Once upon a time In a land far away Fathers took their families To church each Sunday After it was over No one chose to stay They all hurried to their homes So the children could go out and play They played for many hours They just couldn't get enough They convinced all of their fathers To get involved in all this stuff The fathers came to like it So much so that they made plans To do it every Sunday And some became their fans So now each Sunday morning The wives of all these men Rise early to read their BiblesWhile their husbands sleep til ten The children no longer listen Or do what they are toldAnd all the father cares about Is who won the Superbowl It started out so innocent No one could really see What playing and not praying Would make a father be It's become a favorite pastime Never to miss a game But missing church each Sunday No longer is a shame The children now are grown up Each have their families They teach them evolution How they used to be monkeys Now if any father stumblesInto the church's doors In one hand he'll have a Bible In the other a can of Coors This is all now relative Politically correct To see how this all happened I invite you to reflect You say you don't believe it I thought I heard you say If this next line won't do it I'll send you on your way The preacher just informed us all There will be no church next week He's going to the football game To call a preacher sneek No one need be worried All will be okay We all believe in Jesus And God loves you anyway
Fantastic poem, sister! I agree this is a major problem as well. Oh God help us fear Him more than man and sound the alarm - warn the people when we see the sword coming!

This is very true, just wanted to share it again for those who may have missed it.
