Hi All,The problem I have is with the terminology "hyper grace".It not biblical,no where is it found in the bible as far as I can see.It appears to be a "measurement" of Grace which the bible does not use.If the heading to describe the video is not biblical or uses improper exegisis what hope is their that the rest of the video is anyway correct?urs staff
hypergrace a.k.a. antinomianism
Hi Arthur,If hypergrace is just plainly antinomianism then why is the title called hypergrace?Isnt that just misleading? If you want to argue the point of Antinomianism then use the term. How can we measure grace?Only by the measurements in the bible which do not say "hypergrace" at all ever. The only measurement of grace I can see is "full of grace" which doesnt seem to be talking about "saving grace".So the term "Hypergrace" is an attempt to measure grace.Should we then use the antonym such as "Hippograce" to measure grace as in a low amount of Grace? These people are amazing, they have the ability to measure grace using the the term "hyper".Can they with their amazing intellect also break that down further into "little hypergrace" and "medium hypergrace" and "max hypergrace"??? Maybe we could have a Grace Scale such as:LostLow Grace(A little bit saved)Medium Grace(Partially saved)Max Grace (SAVED)Hyper 1 (Partially lost)Hyper 2 (A little bit lost)Hyper Max (Almost completely Lost)LostIf we can make up one term for measuring grace such as "hyper" then we can have a complete measuring tape of terms to measure our salvation which of course is complete nonsense, urs staff
Amen on this DVD! "My experience" with a church a few years ago that called themselves hyper-grace is that about once a month they would drop beliefs that were used by Christian Universalism, redemption of all mankind in the end (it goes by several different names). Statements like, there is no hell. Or I don't believe in the judgment as most Christians. This is "another gospel" and is sending people to hell. God help us to KNOW Your voice,Lisa

What I am noticing is how people can get into trouble by looking at grace truths in isolation. For instance, yes, God did not save us because of anything He saw good in us. So our salvation was not gained by good works nor did our sin prevent Him from calling us to Himself in love. So while that statement about nothing we do can cause God to love us more or less is true at least at the time of calling us to saving faith, it is a huge mistake to look at salvation as some kind of business contract and then test the limits of how far we can live selfishly and still have a "ticket to heaven". Even the recovered truth of the Reformation of justification by faith and not works, if held onto by itself without looking at it as an entrance into an intimate love relationship could cause someone to think, "Hey, I can live any way I want because after all, grace covers my sins both of commission and omission". So if someone is looking for loopholes or a formula whereby salvation can be had without surrender or commitment of love, forget it. Such a one will be told when they meet Jesus, "Depart from me for I never knew you."-Daniel
Hi Lysa,Trying to measure grace by using the term "hypergrace" is also another Gospel, urs staff
