Urgent Prayer for dear friend

Brothers and sisters at SI:

I have an urgent prayer request! I just got an email telling me that a very dear friend of mine whom i keep in contact almost daily with, appears to have had a heart attack and is having blood transfusions in the ICU. Her daughter's boyfriend is the one who emailed about it and requested prayer.

Her health is not that good, she has suffered alot with health problems. I don't know how she will cope with the transfusion.

Lois (her name) has been such a dear friend to me this last year or so. Her encouragement and sweetness dispite her suffering has been such a blessing and encouragement in my own life.

She follows the forum at SI but has never posted.

Please keep her in prayer during this time. Her xanga site is www.xanga.com/myexodus23

In His love, chanin

Re: Urgent Prayer for dear friend

Another email I just received from one of her friends:

"It is now about 1:30pm PST and last night Lois was admitted to the hospital
with a mild heart attack. She is currenly in emergency and is being moved to
ICU soon. The hemoglobin in her blood is low, so they want to do a
transfusion. She is alright and just resting now.

I will keep you posted as I get news and am allowed to visit her."

Thank the Lord is was a mild heart attack. I pray for strength, peace, and healing for her.

In Him, Chanin

I prayed also Chanin for Lois. May God's healing virtue be with her and that she can recover in a timely fashion. Keep us updated.

 Re: Lois

Update on Lois: I received this email from Lois's friend Amy this evening:

"Another update about Lois.

She is going to be taken by ambulance to another hospital on Tuesday for an angiogram. If she does not have an angioplasty, she will be released to go home.

I have been reading her the comments/posts from Xanga over the phone and she is greatly encouraged and appreciates the prayers. She definitely feels herself lifted up.

Feel free to send me any comments or questions you wish to pass on. Even if its a long e-mail, I will print it and bring it in to her. "
----------------

Lois, if you get this message from Amy, know that we are praying for you. Paul and Greg (from SI) are also praying. We are lifting you up and asking for your Heavenly Father to strengthen you and heal you. We are asking for the Lord to use this time to glorify Himself in you and in your family. We know that He has you in the palm of His hand, that you are hidden in Him. We are praying that the Lord's peace will encompass you. You are very precious to Him and to us. We need your wonderful messages on xanga! I need your wonderful encouraging emails! Through you, the Lord is glorified and we see His light and love. Be blessed with every heavenly blessing! --in His perfect love, Chanin (and friends)

"Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed; because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is Thy faithfulness. 'The LORD is my portion,' says my soul, 'Therefore I hope in Him'" -Lamentations 3:23,24.

Fasting and prayer works. We pray to a God who listen.

 Re:

Had to think about the following verse this morning:

They lifted their voices to God with one accord..." (Acts 4:24)

This world is so in need of people who truly desire to live their lives for the glory of God alone. People who don’t only use the name of Christ, but live Christ. People who follow the footsteps of Jesus and reflect Him to all who are bound by “Churchianity” or “Emo-religion”. As E.M. Bounds once said:

Men are God's method. The Church is looking for better methods; God is looking for better men.

…may His glory continue to be manifested through the lives of His children. I hear sermons and compilations in which preachers say: “there will come a time of revolution”. The whole congregation reacts enthusiastically. Well friends, let me be honest: I doubt that! However, there’s one thing I do not doubt and that’s this: “the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him…” (Luke 6:19)

Power went out from Him…and when His children “abide in Him”, He will have an impact in the lives of those around. And though I don’t know Lois very well I know that she has been used by God to impact the lives of people. I pray that He will fulfil His purpose for her! May His will be done…My prayer is that she will be healed and that the Lord will use her in the years to come to encourage people to “fix their eyes on Jesus”. To encourage people to not only say “Lord, Lord” but build their house on the Rock!

In Him,
Paul

 Re: Lois

Bless you all! I have been forwarding each and any response to her (through her friend Amy) so that she may know that she is lifted up :)
