Let me see Thy face and die

I was listening to this hymn of John Wesley this morning and it touched my heart. The hearts longing of Welsey was to see his face and die, since he could not see his face and live. Moses longed to see the face of God and Paul longed to be with the Lord and see Him in his glory, for he lived for His glory. Do we wonder why God used them? Their only burning desire was the glory of God and they were ready to die for it anytime.

We lose sight often of the big picture, the glory of the comming King of kings and Lord of lords. He is coming for his Bride, He is making her ready for the wedding. The question is not will his Bride be ready? I guarantee you my friend that she will be ready because the Lord is sovereign and the Father has chosen her to be the Bride of his Son and her beauty will be indescribable. The question is: are we part of his Bride? Are we sanctified? Are we being purified? If we are then we are part of His Bride, if we are not then this is the time to bow down ourselves to the dust and ask the Father to blot out all our transgressions for His Sons sake who shed his blood for us.This message is for you and for me who have been born again, who have been chosen and invited to be at the Lord's wedding.

May our garments be white as snow washed in His blood, may our heart be clean for then shall we see the Lord. May our hearts longing be to see his radiant face and may we be lost in his wonderful love, and may his Spirit grant us persevering faith. For our faith will triumph as we remain steadfast in his love that he has for us.

Amen! May it be so Lord!
