When I was in the 3rd or 4th grade our teacher read/told us the story via flannel board - made such a profound impression on me that I spent years to find a set like this. Oddly enough I have asked some of my classmates who heard it then and none remembered it.

In the meantime, I read the old version after a few tries and resorting to speed reading.

"Pilgrim's Progress 2" is an interesting read as well - not as dramatic as the first one, perhaps, but a worthwhile read. This one details the journey of Christians' family.
