greetingsI am learning how vitally important it is to guard my tongue and learn to listen to what the LORD would have me speak. Too often I see myself rushing to give opinions on a matter instead of waiting on the LORD...it is possible that there are times when HE would have me say nothing at all and remain completely silent. As I think over the conversations I have had in my life I wonder how often I did more harm then good because I was so eager to share "my" thoughts, "my" opinions, and "my" knowledge with another. Even now as I seek to take part in the forum I am learning all the more to take to heart the admonishment to pray and consider before posting...Its not about "winning" and argument, or proving my understanding, or even persuading another to see things my way...its about pointing each others to JESUS. HE is the SHEPHERD, I am just a sheep, doesn't it make sense that I should follow and stop attempting to lead...God blessmaryjane
MJ, if I had only learned one thing here "which I have learned many things" it's to hold my tongue, and I have carried that into my everyday travels. MJ, I haven't perfected it yet, but I have seen so much improvement, it makes me want more. :-)
