So I noticed I have a problem, one which Eric Ludy points out in a sermon I heard a while back-I sometimes have a tendency to hear or read scripture and even think on it, but not really apply it.I have been wrestling with Ephesians 6 for the past several days.Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.I understand what this means and I know areas of my life where this applies. But what does this look like. When temptation comes what should this look like in my life? When things are going well, what does this look like? When a trial or difficulty comes, how do I do this.Thank y'all!
Hi Havok, I believe it's important for us to take steps to forming a disciplined life especially in our minds. So when temptation comes we are in a position where we are more assertive in our rebuffal of temptation.

This may seem like an over-simplified answer, but being strong in the Lord has nothing to do with you. :) It has to do with HIS STRENGTH. You have to be weak so that He can be strong. "for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” . . . For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Cor 12:9-10 (I took out some of the words in the middle to make my point, but please go back and read them- they are beautiful). In all situations that you mentioned, relying ONLY on Him to lead us, trusting that He will lead us, trusting in His sovereignty and in His goodness. That is being strong in the Lord. This summarizes it for me:"looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith" Hebrews 12:2
