Romans 12:4 NKJVhttp://www.biblestudytools.com/nkjv/romans/12-4.html4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,Romans 12:5 NKJVhttp://www.biblestudytools.com/nkjv/romans/12-5.html5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.1 Corinthians 12:13 NKJVhttp://www.biblestudytools.com/nkjv/1-corinthians/12-13.html13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.1 Corinthians 12:14 NKJVhttp://www.biblestudytools.com/nkjv/1-corinthians/12-14.html14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.1 Corinthians 12:18 NKJVhttp://www.biblestudytools.com/nkjv/1-corinthians/12-18.html18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.1 Corinthians 12:19 NKJVhttp://www.biblestudytools.com/nkjv/1-corinthians/12-19.html19 And if they were all one member, where would the body be?1 Corinthians 12:20 NKJVhttp://www.biblestudytools.com/nkjv/1-corinthians/12-20.html20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one bodyWith the aspect is that the bible states one body many members. With the aspect but what happens really in church if say you have children or are married you are given a higher standing in church or say dependant on how many meetings you go to you are given a higher level of membership. Heard recently one church discussing how you can have three different classes of membership. It seems spiritually are church has personally gone down hill ever since introducing church membership. It is amazing with church you are rated if you disagree with the pastor on a level of theology that may put you on a lower level of membership. The ironic thing is it goes against the scriptures as it was by the love for the brethren that people became saved in the early church.
