Porn rewires you. Adam and Eve didn't know they were naked, but when they sinned they became aware of it and were ashamed. God Himself then slaughtered an animal and clothed them with the skins. This was a pointer towards the time when Jesus would be slaughtered for our sins on the Cross. The Bible says marriage should be honoured by all and the marriage bed undefiled, for God will judge the adulterers (Hebrews 13:4). Pornography is an evil drug, worse than dagga (marijuana) and many other drugs. Looking at pornography makes you a slave to it. It's easier to stop smoking or drinking than to get free from pornography.

There should be nothing in our lives which constrains the Lord Jesus to work as He wishes. He must be in complete control.
Matthew 28:16-17
16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
This is an amazing word. We find the disciples in that place where the Lord Jesus told them to go. Unfortunately, "some doubted". There was something wrong in their lives and the Lord Jesus brought it to light when He admonished them that He had "all authority...".
Pray that God would put His finger on that thing in your life that should not be there, so that you might bring it to the light and confess it and receive cleansing from the Lord.
Dr Edwin Orr was a very gifted man. But he specialised in revivals. He said a revival starts when people start to confess their sins and it stops when people stop confessing their sins.
It's troublesome when people sit on their sins and refuse to bring it to the light.
If you haven't had a bath for a week, month, or a year, you will stink and the same applies spiritually if you don't cleanse your life regularly. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God (Matthew 5:8).
Search your heart if there's not perhaps a sin that constrains the Lord Jesus. Do not leave a stone unturned.
With some of the disciples the problem was doubt. What troubles you? You might think all is in order since you've obeyed Him in everything you can think of just like the disciples were obedient. But the Lord can see even the hidden things in your life.
Immorality causes a lot of harm and damage to the Gospel. If God should examine you would He find immorality in your life? It grieves the Holy Spirit.
Jesus wrote seven letters to seven churches in Revelations. He first mentioned the things which pleased Him in those churches but then also the things which troubled and grieved Him. He mentioned ten things which troubled and grieved Him. If you go to those places today where those churches were, there's no sign of those of them any more. It's just history that informs us that once upon a time there were churches in those vicinities.
When Billy Graham started his ministry he got together with his fellow workers, Cliff Barrows, George Bev Shea and Grady Wilson (and others). They made a study of what causes preachers to fall. The first they identified was the love of money. Jesus said do not worry what you will eat or drink for the heathen seek after these things. But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:31-33). The second thing they identified was sexual sin. It's a shame when preachers cannot control their body. The Bible says that your body must be your slave.
The Billy Graham team made a vow to remain faithful in their marriage and to never be alone with a woman that was not their spouse.
By immorality you bring a curse upon yourself, your wife and your family.
A certain married man seemed very spiritual and would have quiet times studying the Bible and praying till the early hours of the morning. One night, his wife decided to take him a cup of tea and took it to his study very softly so as not to disturb him during his quiet time with God. She went on tip-toe and entered his study without him noticing. As she looked over his shoulder she almost dropped the cup, for it was not the Bible in front of him but pictures of naked women, pornography.
Nowadays all of this and much more is available on the cellphone. If you as a parent give your child a cellphone you place access to all this in their hands. Be sharp and watch over your house.

With the pornography plague South Africa has become the rape capital of the world. If you continue to watch pornography then eventually watching it doesn't satisfy you but you have to practice it and rape is often the result. Those bound by porn are headed for hell. Think about this before it's too late as it says in Psalms, "sela", stop and think about this.
2Pet 2:4-10
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
Read this passage carefully and with understanding.
A person that's immoral is bold and proud and doesn't want to be told (Prov 7:10-12).
Statistics tell us that at least 12% of all websites are pornographic and at least 50% of people with cellphones use it to also access pornography. You cannot enter heaven with such defiling things.
There was a pastors' conference in a certain American city and the conference goers booked into a certain hotel. After the conference a cleaner asked what conference it was. Upon hearing that it was a minister’s conference he was amazed for he said that their pornographic channels were never as busy as during that time, even with worldly people having a conference! How can such ministers care for their flock? Their judgement and damnation is just!
Many serial killers acknowledged that their way downward started with pornography. (Jeffrey Dahmer is one of many examples.)
We read in Numbers 25 how an Israelite man, son of a leader in Israel, took a worldly girl and walked brazenly past Moses and the leaders in Israel, and went into his tent with her. Phinehas the grandson of Aaron, took a spear and entered the tent after them and thrust it through both of them, and God blessed him for that (Numbers 25:11). Do this to your porn addiction and the Lord will bless you.
If you hear this today and don't part from these evil things your hell will be worse than those who have never heard.
You may come to the Lord, confessing your sins.

Following the 6th Trumpet Judgment, the Bible says this after one-third of the remaining population of earth was/is destroyed:
Rev. 9:21 "The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, 21 nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts."
Sorceries (pharmacopeia) and sexual immorality (pornea). Drugs and illicit sexual sin are endemic to us and even in the face of destruction before our eyes we refuse to repent.
That's how heavy the burden and bondage of these things are.
I'm a man like anyone else and I can be too easily tempted to look for one or ten seconds too long at an attractive woman. But for the Holy Spirit, how could I resist? The spirit of the world and of these things is too great for us to overcome. We are nothing and can do nothing in our own power. We are desperately wicked (Jer. 17:9).
If for a moment any man thinks he is above or beyond ability to be tempted, please stop and go to your face brother. These sins are not worth the momentary pleasures they bring to the mind and flesh. We can, by the gracious Spirit of God, walk in liberty from the bondage of sexual sin in our thought lives. We do not have to live as servants to sin. He has made us free for freedom's sake. But, oh, how utterly dependent we are on Him because we are so corrupt that even our aspirations of good behavior are corrupted by our desires for satisfaction of lusts.
We don't need a revival. We need Christ Jesus now. Church, this plague among us has held power over the men who name Jesus for far too long. Let's pray together for one another. Pray for your brethren in your local church or gathering. Pray for your family. Pray for your wives and sisters and daughters as the lure of being objectified weighs strongly upon them. Women are created to be submissive and even if they do not like to acknowledge it, many will submit themselves to being objectified and even participate with their husbands in sexual immorality involving porn or other people. Pray for the hearts of men to be turned to the beauty of Jesus, for the hearts of women to be turned to want the approval of Jesus!
Intercede for children who are victimized by the porn industry in a thousand ways in every nook and cranny of this nation. In your community, children are being harmed by it in ways I won't mention here. I see it because I deal with it as a criminal defense attorney. Oh, God, contend with those who contend with your little ones! (Isa. 49:25)
We need the Lord, guys. Now more than ever as deceitfulness and lawlessness increases. Let us not be deceived.

To those that truly want to be free and repent from this sin there is freedom. It will not be easy because there will be a battle of the mind that will have to be waged.
The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin when we confess our sins and repent, and there is deliverance through the cross of Christ, crucifying the flesh, total surrender to the Lord, and there may be the need of deliverance from evil spirits.
Hell does await those that do not repent from their heart, but for those that want to be free, there is freedom through the blood of the Lamb. Sin shall not have dominion over you, therefore do not continue yielding your members as servants of sin, but present your body to God as a living sacrifice.
When tempted, deal with the temptation immediately. Give no place to the devil, neither make no provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof.

This is very true. We have cells in our brain for sexual stimulation, these cells get altered by Pornography. It is scientifically proven that addiction to Pornography can make a person impotent. If not impotent will at least reduce the gratification that a person gets out of legitimate sex (which is with their spouse). This is same for both men and women.

addicts in the prison, and the chains
break off of them. Sexual addictions are
no different.
The name of Jesus is above every name.
The Lord did not come to only forgive sin
and leave the sinner bound up. We have
been commissioned by The Lord to preach
deliverance to the captives, and opening
the prison doors to those that are bound.

I agree with everyone about pornography and its effects but i need to add another part from my own life. i was forced to watch xxx violent films when i was 5 years old and it became part of my everyday normal life until i became a christian. then it wasnt so normal anymore and i saw it for what it was. for months on end i would resist, fall resist fall and then the lord showed me what was going on. porn was the fruit the root cause was "escape" because of the pleasure side of porn i used it to escape stress and feeling down. i a slave to using it to save me from these emotions. when i became aware of this and how demons influence our thought process i became very aware of what was happening to me when urges arose. one night after praying the thoughts where plaguing my mind heavily and then i heard a scripture come up in my thoughts. the holy spirit was giving me weapons to fight and the more i used the scripture the torment went away. My thoughts became full of praise for God and a victory was won for the first time. now if i am attacked in this area i know that something is bothering me and i deal with that and the thought doesnt get a stronghold. i council alot of men and women with all sorts of addictions. pornoghaphy leads to self gratification and it leads to people viewing their partners as sources of pleasure "toys" only with dark repercutions. many women that have partners that are heavy into porn have expressed that they feel like they are used as prostitutes and i have seen a few turn to prostitution because of this. the sentence it places on the children is devistating opening them up to sexual preditors, lack of self worth. just my bit :)

Very true brother, often the real root cause is hidden, it was stress and feeling down in your case, it could be something else in another believers case. Instead of fighting with these giants like Porn addiction, if we focus on these smaller things like stress, emotions, discontenment etc, we will be well prepared to meet the giants.

thankyou and i agree. its kinda of funny you mentioned Giants as the lord has shown me the very same thing with the spies who reported the giants in the old testiment. i have recently been made aware by the holy Spirit that pessimism was a stronghold in my life which leads to depression. this was an underlyning root cause for me to seek pleasure in my life. at first i used porn as a means to escape, then other less noticable sins but they all led to the same conclusion (for me) salvation in something else other then Jesus". and the sin would only draw me further away from my father. seeking the father and sitting in the cool of his quiver in heat of battle has been hard for me to get use too especially not trying to control everything in the flesh. but its the only way to true salvation and freedom is to rely on the father and act on his instructions.
