Well brothers and sisters, I have been praying for the Lord to use me this summer for His purposes, I have only wanted to serve Him some way this summer.Maybe you've read a few of my earlier posts but I have had some trouble in the Anglican church here in New Brunswick and I have been rejected from working at a summer camp that I worked at last summer because the Spirit of God was moving and kids were going home totally different. This of course freaked out non-Christian parents who complained about the spirituality of the camp. So whoever makes the decisions decided to not take back a number of people that worked last summer.Well I was set back and asked the Lord to use me in service nontheless, maybe here in Fredericton or whatnot, but yesterday I attended a service that Don Currin was preaching at (he is in New Brunswick until Wednesday if anyone is in the area near Doaktown... maybe I could see you there! You could also check him out on this site) and after, out of the blue Don invited me to join him this summer in Arizona to go preach to the Navajo Indians! This is a total answer to prayer and I just thought I'd tell everyone how the Lord has been moving in my life and what wonderful things he is doing! Please pray for me, brothers and sisters, for the Holy Spirit and the anointing, and also direction for this summer and the rest of my life as I haven't got a solid direction, but all I desire to do is serve. Thank you.God bless,In Christ Jesus,-EliPsalm 37:4 - "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."

yaaaaahooooo. Out of the blue, eh? Isn't there where His finest come from? Oh if we would just trust Him. I have two sons in Arizona. One lives in Tucson, the other in Phoenix. In fact I was just there this past Christmas. I had a great time. We went to extreme north eastern Arizona to place called "Canyon de Chelly"(the two "l"s pronounced like a "y". The closest town is called Cheniere, I think. It is almost entirely Navajo. I am so excited for you. I pray that God will use you mightily. Oh that your vessel be filled with His love. Never refuse a task that is not sin. The hand of a missionary is always willing, in what ever capability God provides and blesses us with. Just let Your ligth shine. Probably alcoholism is the number one problem among all the western tribes of indians. So you might want to brush up on that. But this I can tell you for sure, that no matter what man's difficulties may be, faith in Jesus Chrsit and His shed blood is the answer. 1 Cor 1:18 says that to those of us who are being saved, it is the POWER OF GOD. His name can break any yoke, set any captive free. God could go there Himself of course and work many mighty and wonderful things. But He has chosen a better way. He has decided to let you in on what He wants done there. That, my brothers is so very awesome. I can hardly wait to get the good report. Thanks be to God and thank you for sharing this encouraging news with us all. Hugs.

6 weeks from today! I'll give Sermonindex a full report when I return to! Brainard went to the Indians and I know Wesley wanted to when he came over from England. I'm sure God has sent many untold to pave the way. Praise the Lord!
I'm currently near the end of the biography of Jonathon Edwards. I can tell you most assuredly, this noble man of God reached out to the indians and went to live among them with his family in tow....yes, even without a nearby WalMart. So onward Christian soldier.

Eli,Best wishes on your journey to Indian country. Although it is not a religious site or organization, here's a resource on economic development and reservation economy. I worked for First Nations for several years a while ago and they know their stuff on this. http://www.firstnations.org/Bub
Isa 42:6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; Isa 42:7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
