Its a right move. The organisation model for the Church in the New Testament is each congregation to be guided by local Elders. With the writings of the Apostles and Prophets of the New Testament as its constitution and Jesus Christ as the sole Lord and head .There was no hierarchy with a Bishop supervising a plurality of congregations. A model like this acts as a very good checks against inflated pride and abuses
This is sad and painful. I pray for Mark Driscoll and his other local churches. I pray the fruit of the Spirit abounds in this season of change for the former 'Mars Hill Church' network.That everyone involved finds healing and restoration in the arms of Jesus.
