My last thougths that I will share here on SI.

Greetings

I was attended a revival meeting once. There were around one hundred thousand people attending and the thing that struck me most was when a brother in CHRIST came up to speak and everyone waited as he asked two questions. The first one he called out over the microphone, "What church do you attend?" The response was loud, garbled, mess. Everyone yelled out different denominations, or church names they went too. You could not understand what anyone really said it was just noise. Then he waited until it was quiet again, and he called out, "Whom do we call LORD?" This time the name, the ONE name rang out in perfect union, JESUS! It was amazing to hear and be apart of. After the room grew quiet again the brother said that was the one thing we needed to get back to, the one thing we needed to remember in HIM we are one body, with ONE head JESUS!

Its not about attending a place, its all about relationship with CHRIST and the natural outflow of love that HE causes us to have for one another. Its about relationships in JESUS.Laying down our lives, seeking to be servants and caring for one another needs. Its about knowing JESUS the PERSON and living daily to submit unto to HIM!! JESUS is LORD, HE lives and HE is in charge of HIS body the CHURCH today!

With this I will sign off. This is my last post to this site. I will pray for those who continue to moderate as the LORD gives me leading. Its clear the days are dark and deception is taking hold of the world around us. Prayer is what we need...
God bless

Sister,

Thank you for sharing that wonderful encouraging note. We do see God's people outside local meetings, in homes and in buildings. God's remnant and people have always had a name associated with them by choice or by their enemies.

Harold Camping of family radio preaches that all "congregations" are apostate and of the enemy and that the 2 witnesses are the true believers in revelation. Such teachings does great hurt to single out brethren away from accountability, fellowship and allowing godly leadership to encourage them such as we see in 1 timothy of overseers (shepherds) and deacons.

SermonIndex does not have a goal to promote that all churches are wrong, or to promote that everyone must go to a church denomination or group. We simply are ministering and trying to serve the body of christ, God's little flock. I have and continue to personally serve and encourage brethren out side of any denominational setting.

I am sorry that you feel to go sister and not participate in the discussions, your posts have encouraged many including myself. It is all about one thing: Jesus.

Sorry to see you go, MaryJane. I just want you to know that your posts have been a great source of encouragement over the years - including your devotionals and your prayers. Even though I rarely respond, I have been blessed by them and appreciate the openness of your sharing.

I can recall that you took a hiatus from the forum on one occasion. So perhaps there will be a time when our Lord Jesus will lead you to participate in this forum again.

May you be continually grounded in His truth and His love, and that your life reflect Christ - who dwells in you - in a fuller way. I'm sure that's already your desire! =)

best,

a brother

So sorry to see you leave. You're posts have always encouraged me and I have always looked forward to reading what you have to say. Your leaving is a detriment to all who read/post on Sermonindex.

 Re:

Ironically there are some that think that because we have no many denominations that nobody is really teaching the truth anymore and usually those who are saying that are involved in a church that proclaims their church as teaching the whole truth. i.e. Catholic, IFB,and Church of Christ. I talked with a man at work who is of the Church of Christ and he has this mentality. All the way down to saying the Church of Christ is the church mentioned in the bible. FLAWED!
