UK General Election & The Christian Institute

In the UK we have a General Election on the way. Christians have various outlooks on their responsibilities towards politics, but there is an organisation in the UK which provides some excellent materials which can help 'inform' Christians' decisions.

The Christian Institute has materials which could benefit Christians in any country where they are invited (or compelled! Australia!) to have a say in the choice of government.

Here are links to three of them:

Christian Apologetics on 20 Moral Issues This has world wide relevance and is soberly and clearly presented. Do you know why you believe what you believe? Recommended to all Christians still on earth!

Election Briefing will give you specific answers from the political manifestos of the major parties and a few questions to ask those people who knock on your door in these times.

MPs Voting Records If you want to know how your constituency MP votes on key moral issues just enter the name of the MP or the constituency here and you will have all the answers.

I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, be made for all men; for kings and all that are in high place; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and gravity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who would have all men to be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth.
