 That Power Of Resurrection

Life Now in These Bodies

"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your MORTAL bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."(My emphasis)(Romans 8:11)

"Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our MORTAL flesh."(My emphasis) (2 Corinthians 4:10,11)

That power of resurrection is indwelling our mortal bodies right now. This body that is still effected by sin, the curse on the earth and living in an atmosphere that is penetrated by Satan and his demons that are influencing areas of our life all around us every moment of our life.In this very atmosphere and surroundings God wants to use this MIGHTY POWER OF RESURRECTION to let His Son be seen through these mortal bodies and He wants us to experience that POWER now that will one day raise or change our bodies and that could be any moment.

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.(Romans 12:1-2)

A Living Sacrifice Now.He wants us,not our abilities but our availability.

Then walking and serving now in that hope of being with Him.

"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself."(Philippians 3:20-21)

 Re: That Power Of Resurrection

Thank you for this posting!

Philippians the third chapter and verse ten: "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;"

God wants us to know the power of His resurrection. The Apostle Paul walked in this power. It was a paradox, because Paul said that "he was always delivered unto death for Jesus sake." Why? So "that the life of Jesus might be manifest in our mortal flesh."

We are weak in ourselves, but strong in Him. God will constantly be bringing us through trials and circumstances where there is no help in man, no help in our own ability, and in this place, there will be manifested the power of His resurrection. It is life out of death. Dead to self but alive in Him. His Spirit in us will quicken our mortal bodies. Not only after we receive our new glorified bodies, but in the healing of our bodies. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is living within us, and He is wanting minister the life of Jesus through us. Just as the Spirit of God dwelt in Jesus Christ to destroy the works of the devil, Jesus is living in His Body today for the very same purpose.
