Those people who were brought to repentance and restoration must have had a tremendous impact on the people they came in contact with after having been touched in such a mighty way. Perhaps we could learn from them and from God why this revival stopped.
What happened in their lives after this great victory for the kingdom of God? Were they attacked by the enemy of our souls and in what way? Certainly the Sower had sown the field anew in this great harvest -- so what could we learn as laborers in these fields in regard to how to cultivate and protect this seed so that it comes to fruition.
Perhaps if we could learn from these people and the Holy Spirit then perhaps the next great revival could continue in this great country of ours into the years ahead instead of just weeks or months! Our country needs such a revival and many of the churches who are not apostate are praying for it everyday.
Is this an unreasonable thought? |

| | Re: Asbury Revival 1970 | | I know someone who was associated with that denomination and he related to me that when people began to speak in tongues and manifest the gifts of the Spirit that the Asbury revival was shut down.
