Since I was talking to awakened in another thread on the subject of fasting, I found some articles on fasting by John Piper and in one, he mentioned a book written in 1832 by William Sprague called, "Lectures on Revival in Religion." Here is what Piper wrote, "...He had been the pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Albany for 40 years. His name was William Sprague (1795-1876). His life spanned the time of the Second Great Awakening when hundreds of churches were awakened in the early years of the 19th century and thousands of men and women were converted."

Intrigued, I went to Google books and lo and behold it is there - a free download in .pdf or epub. I haven't read it but but if anyone is interested, it is FREE!
