 It's All About The Word

A lot of times when people are in hard times they focus on their problem, but the issue is not the problem. The issue is what God said about your problem. Like in 2Kings 4:38-44 when there was a famine in the land and the sons of the prophets were sitting before Elisha to be served food. And a man came with 20 loaves of barley, and full ears of corn. And Elisha told the servitor, "Give unto the people that they may eat." But, there was a problem or was it, there was not enough food because the servitor said, "What, should I set this before an hundred men?" But, notice what Elisha said, "Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the Lord, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof." So he set it before them, and they did eat, and they left thereof, according to the word of the Lord. That servitor aligned himself with the problem, stop aligning yourself with the problem and align yourself with what God said.

How about Abraham and Sarah, he was old and his wife was barren and yet God said that his descendents would be as many as the stars in the sky. God said that him and his wife would have a son. Notice what God did, He changed their names to align their mouth with what He said. Abraham means father of a multitude and Sarah means Princess of nations. God was getting them aligned with what He said instead of their conditions. How about Elizabeth the mother of John the baptist and Mary the mother of Jesus they both were in conditions that would prevent them from having a child. Elizabeth was barren and Mary was a virgin and yet in both cases the word of the Lord came saying they would have a son. Notice God does not speak in line with present circumstances because the circumstances can't stand against the word. And He told us to be imitators of him (Ephesains 5:1).

Don't ever speak out against what God has said like in 2Kings 7 when there was a great famine in the land and the people were eating all kinds of things that you would not even want to imagine. The king went to the man of God to get a word from the Lord and Elisha, the man of God said, "Thus saith the Lord, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. And a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, "Behold, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, might this thing be?" And the man of God said, "Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof." Notice his mouth cut him off from what God was going to do. Just like the children of Isreal when God said He had given them the land and to go in and possess it, but they said they were not able because the inhabitants were giants and they were grasshoppers in their own sight and so were they in the inhabitants sight. They said they would die in the wilderness and God said, "As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you." Your problem is not the issue, but what God said about your problem is the main focus. And align yourself with the word and not the problem.
