The spiritual awakening he is talking about comes through repentance and awakening to righteousness. Many say they love God by their words, but by their actions (and other words), they prove that they love sin. If you love sin, you don't love God. And you are lost and headed for hell. Simple as that. Jesus is very clear on that point. We are living in the time of the Great Falling Away. God is trying to bring an awakening, but who is listening? A few...not many.
