 This Mortal Body

This Mortal Body

"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your MORTAL bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."(Romans 8:11)

"Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our MORTAL flesh." (II Corinthians 4:10,11)

That power of resurrection is indwelling our mortal bodies right now. This body that is still effected by sin, the curse on the earth and living in an atmosphere that is penetrated by Satan and his demons that are influencing areas of our life all around us every moment of our life.
In this very atmosphere and surroundings God wants to use this MIGHTY POWER OF RESURRECTION to let His Son be seen through these mortal bodies and He wants us to experience that POWER now that will one day raise or change our bodies.
He want's to give us an example of that life now while we are still in these bodies of death and in this flesh that is also desiring to produce a life that manifest's itself and is rebelling against this POWER and can only produce works of death.
Not only does God get glory from this but we can experience a life far beyond anything we could work up by trying to live this Christian life our way through our power by dressing up this flesh and making it appear religious and putting confidence in it and being disappointed when it fails and still keep trying to repair it and whipping it with the Law.
Praise God for what He has done for us,wants to do with us now, and what He's going to do with us future. That future could begin any moment when He comes in the air for His Church.

"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words."(1Thessalonians 4:16-18)

"comfort one another with these words."
