Hi all, I'll be flying in and out of Toronto on the third Sunday in June with an 18hr layover, and would like to spend some of that time at a good church. Does anyone have a recommendation? Also wouldn't mind to meet with a sister (or a couple) over coffee, or for a walk, or..... Like I said, I have 18 hours to kill! :)
Hello,This is a very hard questions to answer! Toronto has many diverse churches form different ethnicies and denominations. Good church can mean different things for different people. Here are a few that I personally find are "good" for different reasons.http://www.freechurch.ca/ --> another excellent church meets in the same building at the same time as the evening service its for the homeless specifically and is very warm and full of the gracehttp://www.westminsterchapel.ca/contact/directionshttp://www.thechurchontherock.ca/index.php/en/http://www.harvestyorkregion.ca/
Brother,I would recommend either:Knox Presbyterian Church - http://www.knox.org (this was the church I went to for 4 years after my new birth experience with the Lord).People Church - http://www.thepeopleschurch.ca (this is a famous church with Charles Price a tremendous speaker and godly man).

Thank you all, this is helpful! And it's true: the questions of what is a "good church" would merit a post all by itself. For me, in this case, it means a welcoming place where I will be taught from the scriptures by a godly speaker and be part of worship that pleases the heart of God. Btw: I'm a sister, not a brother, or I wouldn't ask the way I did :)
