"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory" 2 Corinthians 4:17

Do you ever wonder why we insist on making temporary difficulties so permanent in our reasoning's?

"Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body." 2Corinth.4:10

We have a treasure in a dying body,that God can manifest the life of His Son through.We are Bearing death and manifesting life.Life out of death.The death and resurrection of our Savior manifested through the life lived out through a dying earthen vessel possessed of a heavenly treasure.Even though this body is dying the inward life becomes stronger and faith tells us that where death is being bore life will come forth because we will be raised just like our Savior.Praise God for the assurance of that hope that only the presence of God indwelling us can reveal.


So we contrast:

Light affliction --- for a moment

working for us

Far more exceeding weight of glory--- eternal

"While we do not look at the things which are seen,but at the things that are not seen.For the things which are seen are temporary,but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18
