| Re: | | Elizabeth,
You are asking some insightful questions...
The physical reality is that you were not looking to see where you were going. You assumed all was well, that there is nothing in your path that would challenge this. But ignorance did not change reality.
I did a little research online into water/cotton mouth moccasins. I learned they are aggressive and will pursue a potential prey including humans. The testimonies of it happening are scary. Now I know why I will kill all snakes that are within my power to do so. (Except I really do not want to kill a king [edit - wrong spelling] snake because they eat other snakes! My husband has witnessed this himself.)
So it is with sin: ignorance of sin or turning a blind eye to it will not change the reality of its existence. And sin will pursue us in many different forms. Scripture tells us to flee from temptation. If we would not be vulnerable there would be no need to flee! But that is not the reality.
Life teaches one some powerful lessons, does it not?
Glad you are recovering - but suspect your recovery is simple in comparison to a recovery from sin.
God bless.

| Re: | | "I have been in thought, about, why did I get snake bit ? I believe there is a reason for everything."
Could be,but probably not. I do landscaping for a living.I Get hurt, get over it,get hurt again.I learned not to look too deeply into these little speed bumps.
Just stay thankful and appreciate his power in your life. You will be better than ever before and think of the awesome testimony you will have now.
Possibly;"That ole devil was stalking me in the garden just like he did Jesus. He proved to me one thing! Myh God is bigger than ole slewfoot!!!" |

And too, through my being in the hospital and them doing an Ultrasound they found an old blood clot in the other leg, that had been giving me some trouble, and are now working on that.

| Re: | | Dear Elizabeth,
Perhaps you would look into keeping a couple of Geese or at least some Guinea Hens. They can be helpful against the snake population.
Very glad to hear you are getting better and sharing your thoughts about why you may have been bitten. Reflection is a pathway to growth, in my opinion. Now days there are so many distractions it takes a major event to afford the time for reflection. It is only by stepping back and viewing that one can more clearly see God's Hand in our lives.

| Re: | | Dear friends,
I was just thinking about steping on that snake ,and didnot entend to go on and on about this, but this is what came to me, and thought it worth sharing.
I was not watching where I put my feet.
" We can't just walk along blind. We need to watch where we put our feet ! We must awake and be alert in our Spirit, because sever deception is here or is coming....The very elect will be DECIEVED,...if that were possible. "
( Mt.24:24)..Jesus said,..." For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great wonders, insomuch that,if it were possible, they shall DECIEVE the very elect. "
Blessing in Him, elizabeth

| Re: | | That snake bite provided you with a lot of inspiration, did it not? Scripture says that "all things work together for good to those who are called..."
Deception scares me. The closest I come to it is that when I want to back off from confronting because I know the reaction it will evoke. This is called the 'fear of man'. People will say it was not given in love, that you are judgmental..but never mind how they rebuke you - the same rules does not apply to them, only you....Then I recall how Jesus lived and taught - people's reactions did not deter him - he was on a mission to seek and to save. He knew some would listen and most will not. So...I am still learning and asking the LORD for enlightenment and empowerment to be obedient ALWAYS.
Anyhow, I appreciate you sharing this insight.
