"And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day." (Luke 2:37)

It seems like our generation could use some more like Simeon and Anna in Luke 2 who quietly and often secretly waited upon the LORD and served Him with little more than fastings and prayers. I suspect that the USA was blessed often by the secret prayers of saints who have now passed. The challenge has fallen to our current generation to endeavor to take their place.
